If a hotel can't provide a place for its guests to be able to sleep, it shouldn't be operating. Full stop. This hotel failed all 3 nights we stayed there.
From night one, the heating element in the room makes a constant tapping sound that kept us up. By the third night, the bassy music from the Boston Pizza was pounding our room so hard that sleeping was actually impossible. When I asked the front desk, they told me that BP's closed at midnight, but it was well after 2am when the music finally stopped. Not ideal when we had to be up at 4:30 to travel for the next leg of our trip.
The room seemed nice upon walking in. You might be happy if you don't start looking any closer.
- The shower door did not properly close. Couldn't shower without getting the bathroom floor wet. Between the door panels was filled with mold and scum.
- After the second night we placed the "Please make up our room" card on the outside of our door while we went out that day. We were surprised to find when we came back at 8pm that no one had entered our room. No housekeeping was done at all.
- The spa/pool area doesn't live up to the pictures. The decor is falling apart, and the bottom of the hot tub was gritty with dirt. There are two saunas - one didn't work and the other is bizarrely just two heat lamps wired up to a bathroom timer.
Québec City was amazing, but this hotel was unfortunately not it.
