Hop on the road and head to the ferry to take a historic 18-mile journey to the historic Pleasure Pier in Galveston. There, you can enjoy some sweet treats, or rent a kayak to explore the deep blue waters of East Bay. Head down to the beach for some time on the sand or take a tour of the lush landscape at the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge.

Excellent place to stay at Point Bolivar
We were looking for a place to stay at Point Bolivar that was quiet, comfortable, and accessible to the area. This location met all of those. I will add that there was plenty of parking, easy to get in and out of, AC worked GREAT, and the location itself was quite comfortable and accommodating. The only caveat was that, although within SIGHT of the beach/ocean, due to access restrictions, there was no direct access (we had rented a golf cart hoping to go to the beach from our location). We were able to simply drive to the beach a short ways away, so this was not a showstopper. Check in was the easiest as was the checkout (no big list of "chores" to do... leave that to the cleaning crew we paid for!). We would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

The house was the perfect size for our family! All the kids had a good bed to sleep in. The kitchen was roomy and well stocked with supplies. The location was Amazing! A quick walk to the beach was exactly what we were hoping for!!! (And we all loved the outdoor shower)

Great Home Away from Home
Booking this Vacasa property is easy & organized. Once there we noticed one of the outside water spickets wasn't working. We called Vacasa on a Sunday & they sent someone out right away. Overall the listing is accurate. The inside of the house needs a little attention. Some of the blind cords are broken; the dishwasher door is very tricky to close; the washer (a front loader) seal is moldy (the washer works just fine & we know that it is very hard to keep these seals clean); the kitchen utensils & knives are very cheap--we bought a new slotted spoon & a sharpening stone while we were there; there were no dish cloths--we bought some new ones for the house; there were only 6 bath towels, 2 hand towels & 4 wash cloths--(we had 4 people staying at the house & we did laundry); one of the deck chairs is rickety & one is broken. Overall, the house is great. The location is very convenient to the beach & in a good neighborhood. The beach is 300ish steps away from the driveway. There is an established walking path from the end of the street through the dune to the beach. Walks on the beach are easy with this access. The access by vehicle is the next street over. If a renter is not driving a car on the beach, rent a golf cart. The drive from the house to the beach by golf cart is just 3-5 minutes. The golf cart is the way to go especially if you are spending long days at the beach and/or you have kids. The minor things in the house mentioned above should not be game changers for renters & I hope these items can be attended to. Have fun at this awesome beach!

Beautiful little beach house
We enjoyed our stay at this cute little beach house. We loved the outdoor sitting areas and there was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 teens. The only problem we had with the house is the dishwasher does not work. FYI, I called before we checked in to ask if there was a grill and they said no but there actually is a grill. At the time we visited , (Memorial Day weekend). The beach had a TON of seaweed on it and was VERY crowded. Between the seaweed, the crowds, the high tide and all the vehicles driving we were not able to have much space to set up anything at the beach. We took the ferry to Galveston but the ferry lines were over an hour each way so be prepared to wait if that is in you plan. Overall we had a lot of fun just hanging out at the house.

Best Vacation to date
House was really best part of whole vacation. From the outdoor showers and rinse station to barbqueing on the grill to just sitting on the wrap around huge deck. Completely furnished with anything you could possibly need all the way down to coozies for your drinks. Well decorated extremely up to date beautiful home. No problems whatsoever ever. Well one little one but not worth bickering over. The remotes for the satellite dishes didnt work. Any of them. So when it was time to turn down for the night and just watch TV you hand to spend a half hour at the boxes manually changing the channels until you found what you wanted. Other than that just truly phenomenal.

Cabin was well stocked and clean during our stay. Had an issue with pet hair & human hair all over the sheets. Obviously the maid skipped that part of her job. Promptly called Vacasa & clean linens were delivered next day. Dishwasher doesn’t clean very well and door falls open alot. But location is great and close to beach. Quite area.

Very nice get-away!
We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean. The kitchen was one of the best stocked of all of the houses I have rented. We didn't need a single thing! (there was even a decent amount of spices and coffee!) The teenagers enjoyed the portable speaker out on the deck - and being able to play off of their phones. Very nice! We had one issue with stuff left behind from the previous renter but the management company arrived very quickly to take care of it. This is a very nice house. I would recommend it to a friend and will book it again in the future. My only suggestion is to bring your own pillows. The ones provided were just okay (and it kind of weirds me out to use the same one as people I don't know) The 2 secondary bedrooms are a little tight. (the furniture is big) but the beds are very comfortable. Overall a fantastic get-away house. We will be back!
