"Motel" is how I would classify the facility. Bed right in front of door. Bath was room for one only. The old motel had been redecorated, painted, wood floor installed, everything improved, ductless AC installed, a really great improvement. But the basic "motel" was still there. The carpet in the entry way needs to be replaced. Full of wear spots and dirty beyond vacuuming and shampoos.
Greeter at counter kind of ho-hum. Handed me an old fashioned key attached to a plastic fob. At the door I understood: key lock in a door that had seen better days. Pool was there but closed for no explained reason. Woman with kids asked counter person why. No real answer. She had kids; asked for a discount for no pool. None given. Counter person said she is not management, can't make those decisions.
$210 per night, not a good value. Today's market maybe $110. Of course it was 4th of July weekend.
Don't get me wrong. The place looks nice and with some more improvements could be a good place. Not yet. Hotel.com research team may want to take another look at this facility again for value.
