A very old historic property. If you love history, you’ll love it. If you want chrome and glass, not the place for you. The rooms are clean and charming. The restaurant has a great menu with lots of options. I never had a bad meal. Lots of spaces to sit quietly and read both inside and out. The staff is just brilliant. My next trip to NH, I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Beds were hard. Only had one day where the bed was made up. Not old age user friendly. Staff was very courteous and friendly.
It has an old style that I enjoyed and so did lots of other folks as the place was busy with outdoor events which weren't loud once I was in my room. The outdoor area was super festive with twinkle lights. It was a bit hard to find parking Sat night. The room and bathroom were clean and comfy. I felt safe. My only complaint was I wish there was a mini fridge in the room.
Elegant and historic, first Inn of NH. Watch out for the third floor room, while it’s spacious and a comfortable suite, it has a sloping ceiling with eaves. Plenty of hiking trails. Coffee service was spotty, only mostly 8-10. Continental breakfast. Kuerig in lobby was broken and not repaired over a four day span. Would be really nice to have hard boiled eggs for lactose intolerant folks.
It has breakfast included!
It is quiet but there are weekend activities like Murder Mysteries, theatre, bands at the garage bar, lunch and dinner at the Steak and Ale on the premises or easy walk downtown.
The rooms are cute and clean and comfy
The bedroom and restroom were clean with clean linen. The complimentary breakfast was hearty. I liked the old charm associated with the building. The manager Sue was very welcoming and attentive to the requirements of the guests. If I visited the area again then shall stay at the Inn again.
Beautiful building with friendly staff. There was a separate building next door that featured live music from 7-10. Grounds were nice. Easy access to t

Friendly staff and good restaurant and bar - we ate at the Spaulding Steak and Ale - really decent steak and good beer too. Pleasant grounds and the garage, which had live bands that night is really close. Easy walk into the centre of Rochester as well. Recommended.
We scored! Unique quaint room. Back yard has a garage bar, and luckily a band that night. We left before band was done, and we couldn't hear them in our room. Would definitely recommend this place!
Great Stay! Nice comfortable room. Nicole was very friendly upon arrival. Would definitely stay here again. Didn't get to have dinner but other people said it is great. AAAA
We stayed in Room 227 in the older property next door. The room was immaculately cleaned. Service was excellent and staff were very cheerful and helpful. The first floor was vacant and it appeared that the rooms downstairs were used for storage. Entry and staircase carpet was older and stained. it appears you are on your own in the building, but the next morning we found out there is someone available for the building. I'd love to see small investments made in the property to upgrade carpet, fabrics and mattresses. It would also be great to see the first floor be set up to have visitors be more comfortable in the building. The outdoors area is charming with different patios and lawns all around. We ate at the restaurant and it was a nice experience with pretty good food.
