I recently stayed at this Hilton property, and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. While there were some positives, several issues overshadowed them.
Room Quality:
The rooms are clean and spacious, but the lack of decor made them feel echoey and uninviting. The bed was comfortable but didn’t fit the frame properly. The TV was small and outdated, and the remote was dirty. I appreciated the USB plug by the bed, but the radio was unnecessary.
Temperature Control:
Upon entering, we were greeted by an icy chill and had to manually turn on the heat. In winter, it was odd to wait 30 minutes to remove our jackets.
Amenities:
I appreciated the bottled water, but charging $3.50 per bottle felt excessive. The blackout curtains were fantastic for restful sleep, but other issues marred the experience.
Pool and Hot Tub:
The pool area was nice, but the outdoor hot tub was filled with leaves and overly foamy. The pool became overrun with kids from a nearby basketball convention, and quiet hours were not enforced.
Staff Interaction:
Daytime staff were friendly, but the overnight team was less helpful. I requested extra pillows, but my request went unanswered. The text check-in was frustrating as they didn’t respond.
Privacy Concerns:
The vent between bathrooms opened into the next room, compromising privacy. When I raised this issue, I was told it was just how the hotel was designed, showing a lack of empathy.
Overall:
Surprised this is a Hilton!
