The staff were very friendly and made sure we had a pleasant stay. The short walk down the hill into town and the shore, was very nice and convient for us. Many fabulous local restaurants.
However, I booked our stay through Expedia, and upon check-in, the hotel informed us that our reservation only included bed and breakfast. I contacted Expedia, and while they initially confirmed in the chat that our booking should have been all-inclusive, they later emailed to say it was not. They ultimately refused to help resolve the issue.
After some research, I found that this has happened to other travelers as well, based on several Expedia reviews for various destinations. I even have screenshots showing that our booking was listed as all-inclusive, but Expedia showed no interest in resolving the issue.
The hotel staff mentioned they’ve seen this happen before with third-party bookings but couldn’t do anything since it wasn’t their mistake. As a result, we were forced to spend significantly more than expected on food and drinks, which was really disappointing.
