Excellence El Carmen was our first experience with an all inclusive and they did not disappoint us at all. Staff was great the resort is Beautiful and clean.

Beautiful resort. Lots of dining options and all are amazing. Cute little ice cream/dessert/coffee shop. Nightly shows are great. Only thing I didn't like was the fact that the pools close at 7 pm - including the swim outs. I would have liked to use my swim out a little longer. Room service is also great and very fast. Housekeeping is wonderful. Loved coming back to the room to see what she did each day. Beach was beautiful and very swimmable.

We absolutely enjoyed our vacation here. What we loved most is the service from our private pool. We don't need to get out to get a drink. Our always ready Sammy the bartender always checks if we need anything. If we also lucked out because the resort was not crowded I guess because it wasn't peak season. The food is not bad. It's not michelin rated so do not expect much but the octopus at lobster house and the ceviche at flavor market is highly recommended. Staff are great and you are pampered. Only very minor issue I guess is that unlike other Caribbean resorts like in Cancun, T&C or Aruba, there is no language barrier. But again, overall it was a great vacation. We will certainly go back after we check off others in our list. :)

We had a 10day stay and enjoyed the time spend there except with a few issues. Overall staff are not too friendly and most had attitude issues like they hated their jobs, with an exception of a few of course. I have to admit the rudeness was overwhelming and did put a damper on our stay. Food was mediocre. Nice beach when water is calm but when it's not, very difficult to stay in water. Rooms were large and comfortable but we did have an issue with ants. They were everywhere. We didn't notify cleaning because we didn't want ant spray in our room. So we used clorox wipes to tackle them and each time they would move to a different spot.

Great property with lots of fabulous dining options. The food was pretty good and the hotel property nice with a large pool area. The staff while they do their best are not adequately trained. Tip: Avoid paying more for the swim up suite as its not really worth it

Overall nice resort. Staff was on and off. Not super engaging for activities. I wish there were buffet options for dinner as well as a la carte. The junior swim up suite was perfect in block 8.

Excellence el Carmen was excellent from the day I arrived until the day I left. Very relaxing and quiet. Some of the best food I have tried in Punta Cana. However the food was not good at the beach side cafe and the breakfast buffet was just ok. My swim out room furniture was a little outdated for a luxury hotel, however the room temperature was nice and cold and the room was clean. Staff was very welcoming and we felt like we were at our home away from home.

I had the wonderful, relaxing stay ! I loved Ms.Brenda, she was the life of the party for sure! If you want a calming, romantic atmosphere, great entertainment ! All you can drink ! This is for you! The beach was so beautiful, the seaweed was crazy but it really gave the beach its natural beauty.
