Great place to stay since it’s walking distance to everything, if you’re planning on walking around the old Quebec. The rooms are fine, the only thing is the washrooms are really small specially the showers are super tiny. No elevator so plan on carrying your luggage 1-2 floors.
Had our elderly parents with us and needed to go up 2 flights of narrow steps. No issues if you are able to do steos wasily - just something to know. Fantastic staff!!

Very lovely hotel, just beside the famous castle . Close to every views. Comfortable room, friendly receptionists. Just the shower water is a little small, but all in all it’s almost perfect.

Great Location, Friendly and helpful staff. Room needs a bit of an update though (paint, few repairs etc). Steep stairs and no elevator, so make sure you get the ground floor if need any sort of mobility accessibility
Great location. Just park the car in nearby underground parkade and leave it there. Can walk everywhere.

Lovely property, ideal location but do not consider this hotel if you are with someone with mobility difficulties. Lots of steep stairs and no elevator. If you are able boddied, it's great. Also our room heating was not working and it is starting to get quite cold at night. The staff took note to call someone in. No discounts were offered for a cold, sleepless night. Otherwise this place is convenient and has wonderful charm.
The Governor's Garden Hotel is very nicely situated for tourists. It is just one block from St. Anne street that has many restaurants and is about three blocks from the Information Center where the Hop On Hop Off bus and other tours originate. This is exactly why we chose this hotel.
You need to be aware that the hotel does not have an elevator. Unless you able to book a room on the ground floor you must navigate steep stairs to get to your room. Our room was comfortably spacious but had no closet. The small bathroom did not have a tub, only a small corner shower which did have good water pressure. There was a hair dryer.
There was no housekeeping..
We were satisfied with our choice of where to stay!
The location couldn't be better. Wall to wall with the iconic Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. All sorts of restaurants around the corner, all the tourist spots within walking distance. My room was the most economical, tiny, only 10 sq.m., but it had everything you need. The room was clean, had a comfortable mattress, a large chest of drawers, a refrigerator and a coffee maker.
excellent value. We had the room with a deck which had a nice park & water view. The lobby/day room had microwave, coffee machine and ample room to read, relax and visit.Parking was safe and just across the street. The staff was quick and very helpful.
Overall, the hotel need repairs Rooms are ok for some and others need attention The location of the hotel is good, just beside the Chateau Frontenac No room services and there's was no cleaning during our stay You have an underground parking near by, but attention the one just beside the hotel is the Chateau Frontenac wich is 55$ per day. There's one close to the hotel for 28$ wich is more reasonable
Location was excellent. Room was clean but no we had no towels, toilet paper, coffee etc. No staff available to help, so we had to search for items ourselves. Not worth the price we paid.
Location was perfect. Staff was very helpful, much appreciated. My room was terribly small but that was my choice. But smaller than expected. Quiet rooms which was nice.
