We have visited this hotel multiple times, however- something about this stay has made us feel very “ othered” and not treated the same as other guests. For example- we were not offered valet services, nor were we offered upgrades or dining accommodation, our room is less than satisfactory. However, tonight to top off this experience- my sons and I were playing a game in the lounge- typically Hilton provides a caraf of water to their guests-in the lobby along with teas or coffee ( not here) so, they would like water- my eldest asks the concierge at the desk as we have a direct view of what’s available at his feet for a bottle of water. And he tells my son he can buy a bottle Mind you- we paid exactly the same price as what was listed directly through hiltons site but opted this route because of convenience… After my son returned and told me he was offered the option to pay 5$ at their convenience stand we watched the guests arriving for check in being offered bottled water not only for themselves but their dog. You can only imagine how deeply I hurt for my children, but the absolute dissatisfaction and disappointment I have about what I thought was perhaps our little escape hotel away from home. We specifically planned our Christmas retreat here to Richmond because of the last time we were here in July but I have to say - pretty sure it’s changed hands because the experience is below expectations and it’s been made clear 3rd party bookings don’t get the same care here

This hotel doesn't live up to the Hilton name. Booked for 9 nights,no housekeeping for 3 days straight.Called & complain to the front desk,Jason will tell me that he placed call to have my room cleaned. Room was not cleaned. Called the next day, same person stated my room will be prioritize the next day. Didn't happened again. I was later informed by housekeeping manager that my room will not be service because a staff member reported that we had COVID. How in the world can a staff member now this? Do they have a medical degree? I don't remember being tested by a staff members to conclude we had COVID. Housekeeping manager was rude on the phone and refused to have my room cleaned until we got cleared. I told her she had her information incorrect. Informed the front desk about this and told me that that a manager will get back to me about the situation. No manager or staff reached back at all. I end up checking out on the 7th day (room was never cleaned) because we couldn't continue being a place with no customer service. I was informed by supervisor Ramon that GM Brian will get back to us. Never heard from anyone. In top of this on our last night, an aggressive security by the name of O'Connor came banging on the door in the middle of the night to low tv volume or he will call the police if we continue. Less than 5 mins Richmond police was knocking on our door. Security told PD that he gave us multiple warnings, which was a lie. I'm still hoping a manager can call me

It was a bad experience with the Hilton logo and not providing Hilton standard service. Disappointing. Example 1)The room was very cold (incomplete insulation and cold air entering through the window) 2) The door lock does not work when entering 3)The room safe was locked and should have been checked by those who checked the room. 4) The air conditioner in the room was turned off every day by the house keeping, it was not happy to come to a cold room. 5) hair conditioner was empty, we asked for a new one and it did not come. 6) There was not even complementary water in the room. 7) inside the room toilet seat was broken and the toilet handle was broken which meant if you did not turn it correctly, the reservoir continue to run ROOM 522 Thank you We will reconsider to going to Hilton again

The room was dirty (air filter, bathroom) and the cleaning staff talked to each other loudly in the hallways mid morning and afternoon. Stairways led to parking garage instead of lobby. Staff hung around outside of building smoking. Room was able to be made very dark which was appreciated.
