A room
Rooms were spacious but old/dated. Furniture left a lot to be desired. Bath towels were tiny. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The cottage was terribly noisy, both room next door and trash trucks at 4am.
Beautiful and historic buildings with fabulous courtyards. Southern hospitality at its best. Looking forward to our next stay.

Needs a little work
Beautiful place and friendly staff. However, our room smelled of mold and had sticky carpet and peeling wallpaper. The place as a whole is beautiful and convenient.
The property we arrived at and what was on Expedia were polar opposites. The first sign that this was going to be a cluster was the porch was being supported by 2x4s. Parking is worse than DC. No visible handicap entrance. Told our accommodations were across the street by this abandoned lot. Pull up to and one person was urinating on the building and another was peering into the windows. Nope. Went back to the main house and said we wouldn’t be staying there at almost $300.00 for the night. Staff was courteous and gave us a bill for $0 but I used ApplePay and will see if I get refunded.
Misled by picture and untrue amenities. Southern charm was a no…
“Greyhound flats” is across the street in a dirt parking lot surrounded by a cement block wall. Interior was fine but modern. Not what I was looking forward to for a vacation to the south.
“Breakfast included” was a lie. We got vouchers to the bagel shop across the street that covered only one bagel sandwich + one coffee for 1 person (total voucher amount ($14). We were 4 people. Completely fooled by this place.

Photographs of this property, make it look as though it is clean, charming, and a great place to stay. The reality is much different peeling paint stain wallpaper in the lobby completely in need of a revamp. Our first drum was up to flights of stairs with old dirty carpeting. When we requested another room it was on the ground floor. We open the door and we greeted by the smell of some sort of cleaning product Aroma and mold … my husband has breathing it is so we were forced to find another hotel if the right company got in there and did a complete overhaul. It’s a great location in the middle of town.
Bathroom needs attention- was even moved to a second room because shower in first was dirty. Outlets in second bathroom didn’t work = couldn’t use hair dryer, etc.
I wasn't given the room i had reserved due to a plumbing issue they said and was given a smaller room up in to the alcove of the roof of the 3rd floor without the same aestetics for the same price and they didn't notify me of this until after they applied my payment. Also, I expected a b/b but there is no food on the premises, you have to go across the street with a voucher only worth $7-$10 towards your food, I barely used it. In the mediocre bathroom the toilet paper holder was very loose from the wall and had not been dusted ever, details were missed. I intentionally went there for the old charm of the Inn and most of i got only while in the commom areas. While sitting outside on one of the verandas you couldn't help seeing the extreme peeling paint on the outside of this beautiful old building. They should advertise that they don't have breakfast or it shouldn't be listed as it is, thank you.
If you love old southern charm this place is it. The place itself is lovely with all the history to go with it. The staff at the inn are amazing its like talking to a great friend, all staff are friendly. The rooms are nice and each have different decor to go with what place you are in. The cottages are so cute, they are small but for a small family its perfect. I would highly recommended this place and its close to everything for shopping the water and food. If you need to go to parris island it only takes about 10 to 15 min to get there. We will be returning
