Location, location, location
the location of this hotel on the Mayo subway takes it over the top. the hotel has been gentrified to the point where its age is concealed rather well. not perfect, however, when you consider the absolute convenience of its location on the subway, and friendly staff, it definitely checks the most imporant boxes. add in the friendly staff, and despite some quirks with floor access, it can't be beat, certainly not for the price!

Had to stand on the bed to adjust the air conditioner. The air conditioner was in the wall and the wall around it was broken out and cracked. Carpet old and dirty. Shower tiles old.

I have stayed here several times. It’s nothing fancy, but it is very convenient to the Mayo Clinic services. Free parking is a big plus.

it may not be fancy with a restaurant but that is not why I stay here. It is a very reasonable, friendly, quiet, and simple hotel with free parking and subway access. I have been using this hotel for the past 6 years. We feel safe to come and go from the parking lot or the subway.

Cost effective and clean.
We were there for Mayo Clinic appointments so the hotel was not our main concern. It is an older property but has been pretty well maintained. Not as spacious and access friendly as some newer places, but we managed to use a wheelchair OK. The staff was helpful and courteous. There is an elevator to the subway system that allows easy access to all the Mayo Clinic facilities.
