I arrived after 9:00PM Thursday and was greeted by a friendly desk manager who efficiently got me signed in and into my room. My reservation was for two nights.
The room was clean and quiet but did not look as nice as the room images shown in the HOTELS.COM web-site. The carpet was wrinkled indicating either old age or possibly water damage. The bed was clean and comfortable. The TV, cable service, clock, desk phone, refrigerator, and plumbing all worked fine.
The bathroom was clean but small and, like the rest of the accommodations, showed its age. There was a shower stall but no bathtub. Oddly, though I am only average height, the shower head was below eye level and oddly placed near the entry rather than centered on the wall. I had to duck down to wet and rinse my hair.
The following day, Friday, after a long day in the area I came back, around 6 PM, to a Motel with no gas till Monday and a decreasing supplier of hot water. I took a tepid shower and was planning the rest of my weekend when the electricity also went out. Power went out 4-5 times that evening and was out more than it was on. It finally came on and stayed on about 1030-11PM that night.
When I checked out that Saturday morning my Room Statement of $259.68 showed it had been reduced by only $11.47 (less than 2%) for the inconvenience of no lights, A/C, TV, etc for most of the previous evening and hot water that morning.
