I have been staying at rhis hotel for years. Last few times the rooms smelled moldy or something. Halls not clean. Overall the place has left much to be desired concerning cleanliness. Republic of Texas restaurant still excellent

I have stayed here many times over the past 2 years and I love the staff, the rooms and the restaurant. I feel very safe walking from the parking garage to the hotel elevator. However the noise from the street has gotten so bad it ruins the whole experience. Every night and especially Thursday through Saturday nights, there is a nonstop "muffler parade" of cars and motorcycles right in front of the Hotel along the shoreline. It seems like this is a local meet up spot for low self esteem individuals who are intent on delivering hours of nonstop and deafening peace disturbance. Not only preventing guests the use of the lovely balconies overlooking the bay but it's so loud inside the rooms that we can't hear the tv, talk on the phone and worst of all, can't sleep. Surely the city of Corpus Christi has a noise disturbance code? If speed bumps were installed in front of the hotel, this activity would have to move on down the street. I'm sure the hotel receives complaints about this from other guests. It's a shame because the omni is probably the best hotel in Corpus Christi but the peaceful enjoyment of this property has been stolen by these high speed drivers with modified mufflers and their need for attention.

Our new hotel from now on
From the start Anna at the front desk was amazing. She gave us drink tickets and signed us up for rewards at Omni. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The coffee in the coffee bar was great! Location was perfect. The room was clean and that’s a huge plus. Didn’t smell at all. Will be staying there every summer now. Goodbye Holiday Inn!

Peaceful.
It's a nice place. The whole staff is very friendly. It's at a great location and I would definitely stay there again. The only thing I didn't like was that the parking in their garage was not free. It was $30 a night. So anyone staying at the Omni should keep that in mind about their parking.

I will start by saying-the staff was great. However, the room was so filthy that my daughter became ill. I wish there was a place here to post the pictures. After trying allergy meds etc..and nothing helped my daughter, I thought to ask them to check the air filter. It was VERY, VERY, dirty-outside and in. I then started cleaning the room with a rag and it was unreal how filthy the room was. The air conditioner didn't work and we were covered in sweat and wheezing. When I showed the night manager the filthy rags he moved us to a cleaner room. By that time it was almost 9pm and we had missed our dinner reservations. A staff member suggested that they could send us some room service, but the manager said not unless WE paid for it. My daughter was ill until the next day. So, I asked them to comp us that night or give us another night there at no cost. They said they couldn't do that because I booked through Expedia. They did give us a free breakfast and were very nice to us. This is not their fault-The street noise is VERY loud at night because the road in front of the hotel is apparently used for drag racing. The hotel does leave ear plugs in your room. Like I said, the staff is great but the hotel is overpriced for what you get and what you do not get.
