Wonderful experience, the receptionist is outstanding, very attentive and helpful. The location is great, walkable, quiet for our family but close to so many dining, shopping and sightseeing options. Everything was wonderful, cute little house, turned into a mini-hotel, historical and charming, in the great location, walking distance to Vatican and museums, Trevi Fountain, plenty of restaurants and shopping experience nearby. The only negative thing is the absence of the elevator, which makes moving heavy luggage difficult. Overall we are happy with our stay

Location is perfect. You can walk to every major landmark in Rome if you want. We walked 35 miles over the three days we stayed here, but obviously taxis, bus, bikes, etc are available for those who want. Roberta and her staff are wonderful and make sure you have all the information and amenities you need. Highly recommended.

Because of my itinerary I didn’t get to be in the hotel when there was staff. The few times I did see them, the staff were friendly, However, I didn’t get to see the extra attention that I read in the other reviews. Also, the two times I ate in there the food was good. But then again that all depends on that person, almost the same thing everyday and not many option. The bed was horrible, like I couldn’t sleep at all the first time. I ask to be change it, which they did, it was ok. Overall, for the price, it was a very good hotel because everything I ask, I got it by the next day. The check in was good and the hotel is very clean. However, you have to ask for something to happen and they don’t go the extra mile like the other reviews make it seem so. Still I will recommend it but be very clear on what you want.

Perfect location since it was walking distance to just about all the main points of interest in Rome. A bit noisy though due to our neighbors being up all night and the walls are thin. However great service. We had to head out very early in the morning and they accommodated us by preparing a packable breakfast for us. That was really nice.

It was a wonderful stay! The location is perfectly situated in the middle of all Rome has to offer. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I cannot begin to express how kind and helpful the staff was at the B&B Orologio! Roberta, the owner, responded to many emails in English. She was kind, offered a great deal of information and suggestions for our large family while being very personable and thoughtful of our needs. The rooms were on 3 different floors and they each held their own charm. They were spacious with updated furnishings. I was highly appreciative of the fact that she took into account a severe hip problem and gave us a memory foam topper for our bed, very thoughtful! Be aware that there is no elevator and there are only two rooms on each floor. Remembering also that in Europe, the first floor is one flight up from ground level. Her head-of-staff and breakfast chef, Lawrence, was equally as kind as he arrived early on the mornings of our tours so that we did not have to go without breakfast! The breakfasts were filled with juices, meats, sausages, cheeses and fresh baked goods, some wonderfully unique. She also gave us the connection for two half day tours to both the Vatican and the Colosseum. Our tour operator, Camilla, was very outgoing and communicative. She helped us to plan both tours and for a very comparable price to larger companies, Camilla herself took us through the Colosseum, over to Palatine Hill and the Forum. She gave us a great deal of historical information with real world connections to these ancient wonders! Highly recommended!
