It was quite disappointing that there is no concierge and the staff is not trained to offer even the lowest level of this type of service. No fault of the staff. The people were great. Very nice. Very friendly. Wanting to help. But not trained to suggest where to go, where to eat, any of that. They suggest using the Visitor Center, 15 minutes away, and, while you can book things there, there is not a lot of advice given.
Moreover, this hotel actually has some nice features, and , unless you know to ask, you will likely miss them. They have this very cool tower that you can get a special key to enter and then climb up to. Great views of the city. But, the staff is not trained to let you know about this. We found out from another guest. Ditto that they have a nice sauna, but they do not tell you about it. Again, we found out about this from another guest. Good people, but Clarion really falls on their face for not offering any kind of concierge and not highlighting the features of the property itself.
