We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very nice and friendly. The meal we had at the restaurant was delicious as well as the drinks we had at the bar. The room was very clean, just a little out dated but overall a very nice experience.

This was a nice place to stay right across from the beach short walk. The staff was very friendly helpful easier to help. It was very clean had all the amenities in the room including ironing board iron refrigerator TV . Our room had like it was two rooms for a motel room one was one bed was facing One direction and then there was a law and there was another red face in the other direction it was very private very nice I like that feature

The outside of Inn had been painted and looked attractive. The check inn lounge and the room need to be upgraded. The bathroom needs upgraded. The sink was draining slow. I used plunger near by and black sewage bubbled up. The room was clean and bed comfotable.

One of the beds was creaking, made a loud thud, and then fell. It was unsafe to sleep in. We had to squeeze into a double bed, which was uncomfortable. However, the staff were all nice and polite.

Good Stay no hot water.
The Extra scarecrows during our late arrival was a bit of surprise. Overall, it was good place to stay. We did have trouble getting hot water. We ran the water for a solid 10 minutes and it was still cold, so we gave up. The sink was hot so used that. It is not on the ocean, but we could hear the ocean when we arrived. We only used the lodge for a place to sleep. So, it was perfect for our needs.

I booked a room at the motel, but accidently booked it for the following night. When the front desk pointed that out, i asked him to move the reservation to the present day. The motel was virtually empty. He refused to do so, seeming to delight in my mistake. He said i should have booked it directly through the motel as opposed to through Expedia. I hope people steer clear of this place. I ended up not going to Hearst Castle because of this incident.

Really liked our stay. The room had been newly remodeled with updated bathroom. It could use a towel rack and extra shelf of some kind for toiletries in the bathroom.
