Nestled in the heart of Sanderson, TX, the Desert Air Motel offers a delightful blend of classic charm and comfort. This hidden gem on I-90 is a great place to stop on your road trip. Due to weather we had to switch our reservation around and Jessica at the front desk was super accommodating and helpful. We can't recommend this place enough. We also happened upon a great little honky tonk down the road at the open air Ranch House Restaurant, featuring a talented young country musician named Landry Walls. The Desert Air is definitely worth a stop in Sanderson.

Matt our host was very friendly and welcoming and the whole property was very clean and well maintained. An oasis in the middle of nowhere and a great stop over option. Breakfast is available in the room, chocolate milk and chocolate rice crispies - but lots of other good stuff too.

This is such a cute little place however dining options are slim. We eat from the gas station across the street because there was nothing open past 530 on a Sunday. We did meet some really nice people while sitting in the picnic area.

Cute re-done motel. The only restaurant in town was closed the night we were there to cater to another function. Breakfast items provided in the room. Patio was cute. Coffee was available in the room, but did not find a filter.

We really loved having access to the private patio that was adjacent to our room. Water pressure in the shower could have been a bit higher. Otherwise, a very nice stay!!

Good choice, but not without flaws
Good place to stay if on the way to or from Big Bend NP. Not many good food options in town. Room was clean and had good airflow through windows. However, mattresses on beds seemed old and lumpy.
