Access: if you don't want to pay high cost of taxi fare, take a St Anton bus from the airport to the bus station, but this runs once an hour on the hour. It is a 10-15 min walk to the hotel so you have to have appropriate rolling luggage, (or you might be lucky and there is a taxi on the rank.)
The three ladies who man the front desk are incredibly helpful and friendly as is the night porter and the staff in the restaurants. Thank you front desk ladies for making my stay and departure enjoyable. Housecleaning is very efficient and polite.
Pay the extra price to get a sea view room (a must), preferably on 3 or 2 floor. I had one overlooking both the Buddha bar and the pool and the beach, it was great for both sunset and people watching!
The pool was warm, to my liking, and is great for kids, though not really for swimming laps. No problem with beds. You can walk to the (small) beach in less than 5 minutes. The water was warm. If you want a beautiful and wide beach you need to go elsewhere.
There is a very practical night (12-6am) disco bus system taking you on different routes to the various clubs. However it is a 10 min walk to the St Anton bus station then a 40 minute bus ride (e3.5), so if you want to do this often it maybe better to stay on the other side of the island (but accommodation may be more expensive).
There are several supermarkets within 5 minutes walk, and Mambos is a 10 min seaside walk.
