The hotel was nice. I know it definitely had some areas that showed somewhere and tear could use a bit of painting and repair of ceilings and tile in the shower in the room. It was clean. The breakfast buffet was plentiful clean, and the staff in the area was very friendly Front desk. Staff was kind and efficient. The hotel was quiet. The pool area is quite pretty and the food in the restaurant was good.

Lovely Place
We had a family visit and stayed here. The room was lovely. Our only 'complaint' was that house keeping was rather slow. To be fair, the hotel was full every night we were there with a soccer tournament in town. Every single staff member was pleasant and fun and made the visit even better than it already was.

No pool
I was kind of disappointed, there was a swimming pool and hot tub, but it was under construction. They were going to offer us another Hilton hotel in the area to go swimming. Which seemed like this seemed like a big inconvenience. We were scheduled to go here after our cruise and I changed hotels.

We stayed at the Compass Inn for two nights, and were very impressed with the hotel. It is in a very quiet area, next to the bridge which goes across to Anna Maria island. Our room was upgraded to a marina view, which was extremely kind of the hotel staff, as the view from our balcony was lovely. The rooms are quite spacious and very clean, with comfortable beds, and tasteful decor. I would say that the air conditioning unit in our room was quite noisy, but didn’t really affect our sleep. Breakfast was part of our package, and everything we had was great, with plenty of choices to suit all tastes. We did eat in Floriday’s restaurant twice during our stay, which is attached to the hotel, and the dinners we had were excellent. The staff were very friendly, especially the lady at breakfast, and made for an excellent vacation. Thanks to everyone at the Compass Inn!
