Adoba is a friendly and safe place to stay that is conveniently located across from the Soo Locks. The bathroom is a bit crunched, but the room and beds were comfy. This is not a fancy place, but it met our needs.

We stayed for 3 nights here. The first night we were in a room where the AC was right above the bed and it was not properly sealed. The following morning we were moved to a much better room (right beside the office) that was quite comfortable. The bathroom was a bit tiny but the room was large. Breakfast was plentiful and they had a person making sure everything was in order. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Location and check in were very good. The room was poor with the thermostat broken, poor lighting, sink drain plugged, no room on one side of bed for entry, only one chair, no room on bathroom sink for toiletries . Very poor value for the cost. We will not stay here again and don’t recommend.

This is really more of a motel than a hotel. The big heads-up is that the office closes at 9pm and if you're arriving later you will want to reach out to the staff to make sure you have your room number and code, and that you take care of any paperwork when they're open. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. The room had a very charming nautical theme and it was in better condition than I expected. But it's not that well soundproofed. The motel is in an excellent location if you're going to see the locks, or head to Canada, but otherwise there's not much in the immediate area, which was eerily dark and gloomy at night.

The breakfast lady was a real gem!! Checkin was smooth and the person was friendly and helpful. The room was called a ‘Deluxe Cottage’ but it lacked a chair and/or table to sit at, and was missing one bedside nightstand. Parking outside our room was very convenient, but tight. Thankfully our vehicle is reasonably small but people driving trucks had lots of difficulty! The location is perfect for exploring the locks and the restaurant next door was great!
