Elegantly Appointed Home in the Historic District by Lucky Savannah

Built in 1867, the Mayor’s Quarters has three bedrooms and two bathrooms to comfortably accommodate up to five Lucky guests. It is the ideal choice if you’re looking for the charm of an historic home without sacrificing the convenience of downtown living.

Each room of the home is steeped in relaxed elegance, with a mix of antique furniture and modern amenities. Throw back the shutters and let the sunlight stream into the welcoming living room, with original hardwood floors and decorative hearth. Pocket doors lead to the adjacent six-seat dining room, where more stately antiques and period charm abound. A full bathroom with walk in shower is located underneath the stairs. The updated, fully equipped kitchen has everything you’ll need, and the adjacent “keeping room” is a truly special brick-lined enclave with cozy seating for intimate conversations or curling up with a good book. French doors in the kitchen lead out to your spacious and private brick-paved courtyard. Equipped with a gas grill and ample seating, you’ll be able to enjoy Savannah’s perfect weather dining al fresco.

Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms are elegantly appointed with rich, dark woods and soothing neutral tones. The full bath upstairs boasts marble tile, his and her pedestal sinks, and a cast iron claw foot tub. The first bedroom has a Queen-size bed, ornamental fireplace and tons of closet space. An oversized second bedroom is quite large for the neighborhood, and has a Queen-size four-poster bed and ample closet space to accommodate longer stays. The third bedroom is charming and cozy, offering a Twin bed, tucked below a window overlooking Lincoln Street.

Great location and walking distance to everything! It’s a beautiful home and stocked with everything you could need. The leasing company was quick to assist at check-in when our door code didn’t work, which is great! The only thing we didn’t care for was the home lacked comfortable seating and the showers were both tricky to use due to age of home and plumbing setup. I love that they kept with the historic feel when decorating but it just wasn’t comfortable after a long day of walking around the city. We did however love the courtyard area.

Overall great place, spacious, high ceilings, nice patio in back, good location with a little safe walk up to River St and down to Starland District. And 5 minutes to Forsyth. Plenty of cookware and other household amenities. The mattress on the bed in the mini bedroom needs replacement.

This place was amazing! It was within walking distance to everything we wanted to do and it was not on a main thoroughfare, so it was also easy for an uber to pick up our parents when they couldn’t walk anymore. The house was so comfortable and had everything we needed for a truly enjoyable weekend!

Fantastic property, location, and Lucky Savannah staff were amazing!
First, I must say how wonderful everyone at the Lucky Savannah office was. We arrived at 11 AM and couldn't check into the rental until 4 PM, so they told us we could leave our luggage at the main office while we got our explorations underway. They locked up our bags, gave us free drinks (the fun kind!), and provided an air-conditioned oasis (with a bathroom) where we stopped a couple additional times as we passed by. The property itself was lovely with a pretty courtyard/back porch where we enjoyed watching and listening to the rain. The location was fantastic, and we were surprised just how easy it was to walk from one end of the historic district to the other. We ordered grocery delivery and stayed in for dinner two of the nights. Cozy, wonderful getaway with girlfriends!

We loved the location of the townhouse and the ease to get to most places in downtown Savannah. Loved the fully equipped kitchen and lower rooms. The two main bedrooms are large and comfortable. It was very easy to enter the home using the information provided. We also appreciated all the information. I will say the third bedroom is small without a closet. The downstairs bath could use an exhaust fan. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Pretty property - a few tweaks would make this an awesome stay!
Pretty property in a great location of Savannah. The beautiful architecture was quite lovely. My mom and sister and I stayed for a long weekend in March. While some quirks are expected in an older home, there are a few things that the property owners could do to make the stay much better: 1. Alarm clocks of any kind in the bedroom would be helpful. 2. Extra blankets for the home would be nice aside from just a thin duvet 3. Sturdier beds in the two bedrooms that were not the king: while the mattresses were comfortable, the bed frames themselves felt like they were rickety and unstable. My sister almost fell off the twin bed. 4. Clear instructions on the downstairs shower- it took about 5 minutes for the water to warm up and we almost gave up in that second bathroom. 5. Outlets are placed in the middle of the walls and charging bricks would fall out of them. A power strip by the beds would be nice for charging a cell phone or to use as a clock. Overall, the property is decorated very tastefully with antiques and beautiful mood lighting. The back patio was a nice little gem to escape to on a lovely spring day. This place is great for 2-4 adults. I would not recommend this place for a family with kids as you can hear everything and the bathrooms would be frustrating.

I could not have asked for a better experience! the house has the perfect southern charm with its claw foot tub, private bricked garden space, tall ceilings, wonderfully restored hardwood floors, fireplaces in every room, and the wonderful creaky floors and stairs. The location is perfect for walking around to explore the historic district and is just a short walk to many amazing restaurants and bars.

Great girls' getaway location
This was the perfect destination landing for a long anticipated girls' weekend with two of my lifelong friends and college roommates. We were close enough to everything to walk or jump on a trolley and also just spend relaxing hours with each other catching up. Our favorite room in the house ended up being the cozy family area off the kitchen and we spend most mornings and evenings there. This is a beautiful townhouse.

The Mayor’s Quarter is a wonderful place to stay, and the management team was quick to help with anything that came up. Note: you don’t need coffee filters. You will think you do when you first look. Just look through cabinets. There are lots!

Wonderful weekend getaway
We booked this house last minute for an anniversary trip, and I am so glad we did! It was an amazing find! It felt huge for just my husband and I. It looks better in person than the photos. There are old house creaks and dents, but that adds to the historic feel. The neighborhood and location is awesome! The most haunted house in Savannah is just around the corner. You can see the house with the first light bulb while standing on the porch. We brought our own electric scooters and were able to see so much with this perfect location. The garden and porch out back was also nice to wind down in after a long day. Definitely recommend and hope to stay again!
