GORGEOUS MOUNTAIN AND WOODED VIEWS, NEW 37" FLAT SCREEN TV, FUN POOL TABLE AND PRIVATE, "GREEN EGG" BARBECUE GRILL,PET FRIENDLY (small dogs only). FREE INTERNET ACCESS.
CABIN LAYOUT:
This cabin is accessed by going down about three steps to the front porch and then you enter the great-room (kitchen/dining/living room combo). It has an awesome new 37" flat-screen TV with BluRay player and Comcast Triple Play - cable TV service, high speed internet service and free long distance calling (within the United States). The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking up memorable family meals and is right beside the gorgeous dining room. The leather sofa is a sleeper-sofa and there are two recliners. (NOTE: We do not recommend sleeper-sofas for anyone over 12 years of age due to comfort reasons.)

Step out the back door onto the big wraparound decks and enjoy the hand-made wooden rockers and the "green egg" charcoal grill (this is a special grill and uses green egg charcoal only). The big, bubbling HOT TUB is in a screened-in room on the private back porch. This level also has floor-to-ceiling glass panels around the downstairs to let you enjoy the glorious wooded VIEWS. There is an enclosed bedroom on this main level with an additional TV with cable service and a full bathroom (along with a washer and dryer). The massive stacked-stone fireplace and leather furniture in the living room will encourage you to snuggle up and relax.

Go up the rustic log staircase to enjoy the fun pool table in the evenings. The comfy KING SIZE bed and the second bathroom (with shower stall) is in the loft area upstairs. This house was custom-built and has many extra luxurious features such as numerous antiques throughout for your pleasure.

A few issues
Overall stay was decent, but we did have a few things that were not up to par for making us ever book this cabin a second time. There was mouse poop all over the outside table were the jacuzzi is. The sheets and towels were very course and scratchy. The beds are both hard as rocks. My husband sat down in a dining room chair to take a zoom meeting. The chair collapsed into several different pieces and after inspection he saw it was already broken and then put back together with finishing nails. He weighs 180 lbs, this was a major structural issues probably made by a previous tenant. Overall not terrible, but not great.

Great views and good condition inside and out. Drive way needs a little work with some washouts and drop offs that are hard to see and you need to be careful especially pulling into property.

Great Experience but except for two issues
We loved everything about our stay - the location, the cabin, the owners, the check-in, the view, the pool table, and the fun pass - all were terrific and are the reason for the 5 star rating. There were two issues that deducted a bit from the experience, but not enough to deduct a star in my opinion. First, there is a new cabin being built right in front of the balcony view. The crew worked every day (including Memorial Day) and used a loud compressor with mail guns all day it seemed. This detracted from sitting on the balcony and enjoying the scenery. Second, the hot tub seemed it could use a thorough cleaning.

When we 1st arrived the only thing we could hear is an air compressor, air nail guns, saws, boards being thrown around and gentleman yelling. I called the office where I checked in at and all they could say was well sorry. There was a new cabin being built less than 20ft off our back deck and I was not informed of it and if I was I sure wouldn't have picked that cabin. I came there for piece and quiet and not to be woke up before 7am by construction workers. I couldn't enjoy sitting out on the back deck watching the sunrise or sunset or just to sit out there. I work 60hr a week and was looking forward to taking a rest with some piece and quiet for just a few days but I guess I was wrong.

The overall stay at Moonshadow was a positive experience. Cabin was clean and with all amenities on hand. the only drawback being the there are several new cabins in process in very close proximally that will in my opinion will detract from the view of the mountaion that it currently has.

Amazing mountain view
Beautiful cabin, awesome views. A little on the small side in regard to suitcase storage... we ended up using the top of washer and dryer for space. We have rented many, many houses/cabins and were surprised to find that we had to supply 100% of everything for cooking- literally didn’t even have salt and pepper. Not an issue if you’re prepared ahead. Bring your own toilet paper and paper towels too, one roll does not last long with a family! Lol. Beautiful cabin, would definitely recommend for a small group or a couple looking to have a quiet time together.

Honeymoon retreat!
My son and his new bride, along with their dog, enjoyed the beautiful cabin, surrounding mountain and the peaceful quiet. Their stay was short but they enjoyed their time at your cabin!
