We have rented several cabins around Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and this was our favorite so far. Check in was automated and effortless. Owner communication was excellent, although we didn’t have any problems.
The cabin was beautiful. It is near the top of a ridge, surrounded closely by trees. It is in a development but is fairly secluded, with only one cabin visible and that can’t be seen from the house or deck unless you are trying to see it. The trees provide shade throughout the day, keeping it cool during our July stay. Sitting on the deck or looking through the huge windows, the woods are beautiful.
The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Everything worked well, including the little things like the Keurig coffee maker, high speed internet, projector, surround sound and dual zone HVAC, making for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen (not pictured) was well equipped and had nice appliances. It Is a horse shoe but the stove is at the far end with lots of counter space around and the fridge is at the entrance, so people can get things without getting in the cook’s way.
This was our first time staying near Sevierville/Wears Valley, but I think it’s an advantage that I haven’t seen mentioned. You are close to Pigeon Forge for all it offers and Gatlinburg is a nice drive through the woods from there, but this cabin is far enough southwest of the main strip that you can take an alternate route to Smokey Mountain National Park, Gatlinburg or home if you are heading through Knoxville. When we have visited before we were stuck a few times in gridlock traffic on the strip, so it was was nice to be able to avoid that especially when headed to the park (and when everyone else is trying to get out of town).
Overall, we liked it very much and would visit again.
