Summary:
Welcome to The Art Loft. A piece of history nestled a mere quarter-mile from the Smoky Mountains' spur, this property stands as a beacon of uniqueness and charm. Straddling the line between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, the loft offers guests a rare blend of rustic allure and artistic flair. If you're seeking an overnight stay that's truly one-of-a-kind, then The Art Loft beckons. Immerse yourself in a space where the past meets the present in the heart of the Smokies.
The Space:
Once the creative sanctuary for Sevier County's renowned artist, Dale Gillespi, The Art Loft is steeped in history. Dale's masterpieces, including the respected Eagle Memorial for veterans in Sevierville's heart, were birthed here. Now, this loft is beautifully transformed for guests while preserving its artistic legacy. It boasts a bedroom with striking cathedral ceilings, a bathroom accentuated with the same grandeur and a jacuzzi tub, and a cozy sitting area equipped with a 50" flat-screen TV, Keurig, microwave, and fridge.
Guest Access:
Guests enjoy exclusive access to The Art Loft and the upper-level courtyard with its inviting hot tub and firepit. Please use the upper-level driveway on Veerless Ogle Rd, just beyond the lower driveway, for entry.
The Neighborhood:
Nestled in the heart of the Smokies, our neighborhood stands just a quarter mile from the spur, placing you mere minutes from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This area boasts a mix of overnight properties and private homes. Notably, renowned artist Dale Gillespi, the original occupant of the Art Loft, resides next door. You might even catch a glimpse of him sculpting new masterpieces. The property remains accessible in most weather conditions.
Pigeon Forge has seen significant growth since 2019. Notable attractions from that year, like Dolly's Pirate Voyage and The National Enquirer Live Museum, continue to draw crowds. Additions such as the adventure park and Paula Deen's LumberJack Square, situated at traffic light number 3, have enriched the landscape. Dollywood's Wildwood Grove expansion remains a top attraction, and for a contemporary dining experience, don't miss Downtown Flavortown at the Mountain Mile on Teaster Lane.
Every visit to Pigeon Forge promises new experiences and cherished memories. Rediscover classic attractions and immerse yourself in the latest offerings the area has to boast.
Getting Around:
The Art Loft is only 5 minutes to Downtown Gatlinburg and 5 minutes to Pigeon Forge. You will need a car to get around the Smokies for the most part, but if you so choose the Great Smoky Mountain Welcome Center and trolley stop is just under a mile away.
FYI, the trolley rates have gone up to a whopping $2.50 a ride for Dollywood/Splash Country and a $1.00 anywhere else or you can buy a day pass $3.00.
Other Things to Note:
For entry, guests will receive a door code prior to arrival. Along with this, we'll send a link to the Rental Agreement. Kindly ensure you e-sign this document before your arrival to guarantee hassle-free access.
Another rental unit is available on the lower grounds of this site for guests. If you're interested in booking this additional unit, please reach out, and I'll happily provide the listing link.
*Please be aware: Given the unique location of our property in the lush Smoky Mountains, there's abundant tree cover. This natural setting might occasionally lead to power outages, weaker wifi signals, or TV disruptions during adverse weather conditions.
Note that we have just recently added StarLink for internet which has eliminated most if not all of our internet outages and given us 100x performance over what we had available to us prior to StarLink.
Interaction with Guests:
Guests access the loft by door-code and we are available 24/7 if the need arises.
