I liked it’s proximity to the mall. Nice little 10 minute walk. The included breakfast was amazing! Staff treated me like an honorable guest. Very friendly. My four nights went by far too quickly.

Internet service was not up to expectations. Lots of buffering when watching streaming video. Bed was worn out being extremely soft which was not good for my back. Overall a good value.

Property is quite old and units interior are old school and not so well maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only thing which is of my concern is that my daughter had some bites on her legs and i suspected that its bed bugs. This should be look upon that it might be a cause serious illnesses to their guests.

I arrived at 10:30am. They would not wave the early check in fee. Earliest I could check in was 1:00pm. No manager available to discuss. Air conditioner was dripping on to the corner of one of the beds. Reported it. They put a towel down but did not fix. Breakfast Buffett was terrible. Limited selection. Location is good.

The Hotel Essencia is the best place to stay in downtown Dumaguete which puts you within walking distance of the stores and restaurants. The prices are reasonable for a hotel like this. The restaurant is acceptable.

This hotel location was convenient for touring around the island and the room was spacious and comfortable with everything you need for your stay.The locals were friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant had excellent choice of food and drinks at a reasonable price. The free breakfast was also great. Above all the hotel staff and did a fantastic job responding to your requests, especially the restaurant staff. I would definitely return here to stay during my next trip. A gym at this hotel would have been great !
