This is the best customer service I've experienced
The day and evening audit front desk gentleman I'm sorry I don't remember your name. You both are very good at customer service very friendly I felt comfortable very helpful I mean this should be the status quo across the board especially for bigger corporate hotel chains. But this was nice and quaint off be older I love the fact that it's rustic however the customer service is second to none the cleanliness of the room was great like I said it's older but that doesn't matter it's well maintained and I really did appreciate the customer service thank you. 🙂

Room was not ready at our check in time. Looks like there were homeless people hanging out in the parking lot and around the building. Did not feel like it was a safe environment to stay at. Requested to cancel our reservation.

Light socket at the front door has been removed. Bathroom light fan cover has fallen off. The TV stand had splashes of blue paint No Wi-Fi was provided. Bicycle frame Chanined to staircase. With handle bars, wheels and seat removed. Junky looking. Bathroom floor was sticky and dirty.

Check in for the room is supposed to be at 2, we arrived at 3:30pm and they still hadn’t cleaned the room. So we went next door the Buzz Inn steak house. We didn’t get into our room until about 4:30-5ish. The hotel is old, hasn’t been updated in years. I only picked this hotel because it was close for the renaissance faire, but for the future I will not be staying here.

It's an old motel, you get what you pay for. However when people care about where they work and their property they do their best to keep it clean and nice, this was in rough shape on the outside stinky you know it looked as if no one cared about the property. But again it wasn't terrible I've seen worse if you want to get value stay there

The only thing that was good about this place is the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and personable. I'm not boogie at all and I expect very little with a place this cheap. I don't even mind that it was yards from the train tracks or that people were clearly living there. But it was terrible. Very dirty. The fridge was a moldy mess. The chairs looked like someone defecated on them. Missing light bulbs (IYKYK). Trash all around the premises. Needle in the bushes around the parking lot. I can actually deal with all of this. I wasn't looking for a fancy resort, just somewhere to crash for am early.morning event nearby. What I can't deal with is bed bugs.There were signs of bed bugs (blood drops and little black debris on mattress pad, although I did not actually see any live bugs). So if there weren't any live bugs, they hadn't washed the mattress pad in a long time as there was other debris on it that I won't mention here.

While I was there I had 3 different remotes but only one that worked for the RokuTV. There was no cable available in the room and the Roku only gave me access to one channel. Otherwise it was fine for my needs, it had a bed and was fairly close to the venue that I was attending.

Bed was VERY firm and there is a loud train that comes through every 5-ish hours, but complementary ear plugs are available at the front desk. Staff was great, and made our stay much easier. Breakfast starts running out of the good stuff around 7:30, but they still had a muffin, some Mott’s fruit snacks, tangerines, bagels and even my dad’s favorite zero sugar high protein yogurts which was awesome!

The Fairgrounds Inn was a nice overall experience. Helpful staff and clean room. Our one complaint is bed we had was very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on.
