I think some of the rooms have been renovated more recently, but ours was outdated and dingy. If it had been cleaner I could have overlooked the condition of the room, but there were noticeable stains (that could/should have been cleaned) on the bedding, floor, and furniture. Also, a previous guest's sock was hanging out under the floor. In addition, there were fingerprints visible all over the glass door leading out to the balcony and the countertop. We stayed two days and the room was not cleaned for our second day. They also did not provide us with clean towels, which was really a necessity considering they only provide one tiny towel per guest and even though we had all hung up our towels in the morning, they had not dried by the next day. When my husband called to ask for more towels, they said that we should have had them in the room...the previous day the beds had not been made, so our room had obviously not been visited by the cleaning staff. (This is typical of Korean pensions, but I think as they were advertising themselves as a hotel that this should have been done.) Positives: the room was unexpectedly spacious- it would have definitely slept more than the 3 guests we were promised. It had a dressing room and two sleeping rooms-really more of a suite than a basic room. Also, the bathroom was very clean and the new air-conditioning unit worked amazingly well.
