Excellent quality rooms, the hotel is right on the foreshore, close to shopping, dining and lovely shoreline including little penguin observation centre.

The place is lovely and has everything you need. Staff is very nice and we love the stay. Will definitely come back again and recommend it.

Room and bathroom were very clean and spacious; balcony and sea view were bonuses. A little concerned that the room was above the bar but the music quietened down around 10.30 and didn't hear customers after 10.45. Staff at reception and lounge were friendly and helpful. We opted to have our continental breakfast in the room - very good selection including gluten free bread and cereal. Evening meal at the lounge bar was exceptional, especially the chicken parmigiana with gluten free pasta.

Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money. Despite very clean ensuite there was a terrible smell presumably from the shower drain. Running wate and using exhaust fan didnt remove the odour. However, we would definitely stay at the Somerset Hotel again.
