Vacation
The listing said there was a new grill, it is not. The burners are shot. Needs new grill. We had to buy toilet paper because there was only one extra roll. The dish washing soap is very cheap stuff. Light bulbs are out in most of the house. No wash cloths in the upstairs bathroom. Overall it was a nice cabin. Too nice for the lack of items above.

Maybe AC?
Overall- nice stay- the AC doesn’t cool any rooms so we were sweating even when we gave up on the AC and tried to open windows at night. I would not stay here again unless the AC was working efficiently. Also, I feel that towels and rugs need updating overall and there are not a lot of dishes/utensils. Great location and very well built cabin that feels homey. Just needs a little fine tuning. Other than the ac and sleeping all week in heat…it was good.

This was OK, but...
First I would like to say I am a property manager in Colorado and we (wife, dog , son, etc.) have stayed in the South Fork / Creede area for years, and it's one of our favorite areas in CO. Second, Vacasa of South Fork is truly outstanding at what they do. Their communication is off the charts and they are responsive to a flaw. This is the case every time we stay with them. Regarding this stay, we came down for a weekend getaway. I don't mean to take my frustrations out on this place, we did have a nice stay, but I get frustrated with homeowners putting their homes up for short term rental, taking my money, (considerable amounts of it BTW) and not treating it like a business by putting money back into the property. Sorry, but I feel taken advantage of. Pots and pans are fairly inexpensive, make sure theres a full set, same with knives. Pillows are cheap, thin and stained don't cut it. If the screen door is often broken (based on prior reviews) replace it. Mattresses in a hospitality environment need to be changed every 5 years. If theres a light in the bathroom that does not have a switch and must be on 24-7, put a darn switch in. Overall we did have a nice stay, the lot and area afforded lots of privacy, which we like, but I would not go back at this prices.

Great location even if road needs help. Missed having a dishwasher but the views were the best. Great oversized property, even room for RV and trailers. Beds were the best. Would do it all again.

Cannot recommend
We stayed in this property a year ago and it was incredible. We had a fantastic time and rebooked for this summer. At that time it was just switching to a Vacasa managed property. This year, it was poorly stocked, the majority of cooking equipment was missing, basics like hand soap, salt, and sugar for coffee were missing or in very short supply. There were no dryer sheets for doing laundry, and several of the utensils in the drawers were dirty. We reached out to Vacasa by text and phone call (left a message) upon arrival at 4pm (they say they are in the office until 6pm) and never heard back the whole week. It's cold and sterile and not well stocked. We will not be staying in a Vacasa managed property again.

Price and Furnishing Disappointments and Upside
I was unhappily surprised at all the additional costs to the base nightly cost. The furnishings were awkward: lack of outlets for electronics, uncontrollable vents and night lights, no end tables, dishwasher, or garbage disposal, operating problems with window louvers. Upsides: Nice views, quiet, comfortable beds, very clean.

Nice Vrbo
This property is located in a quiet neighborhood. It had plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. Property managers were great to work with and checked in on our group several times. The house was clean. We enjoyed our week and will likely stay at this property in the future.
