Unfortunately in my room the shower tray was filling up with water due to slow draining. The sink was slow draining and the toilet has very little flush. All three issues were raised at reception. The evening meal was excellent and enjoyed the circuits class offered at the gym. Overall reasonable stay but the rooms need modernising

WE WERE IN A 20 MINUTE QUEUE TO GET TO RECEPTION. RECEPTIONISTS SEEMED TO BE DOING THINGS OTHER THAN CHECKING PEOPLE IN (POSSIBLY BOOKING EXCURSIONS AND SUCHLIKE). When eventually we were checked in, we were told that he room was not yet ready (in spite of the time being nearly 17:00 hrs. In consequence, we were kept waiting for another extended period. However, once all this was done, our room was excellent and very comfortable. The food offering at Dinner and Breckfast was very good.

Generally ok just need to train some of the staff
the part of the hotel where we stayed was a bit tired however it was nice. There seemed to be a shortage of staff when we arrived at the reception we had to wait as one receptionist was busy and the other was looking on her computer I feel she should have put her head up and said be with you in a mo, but she ignored us. The chap that finally helped us was very good. Latter that evening we went for a drink in the bar,my husband went to the bar to order a drink and the girl said she would be over to take our order at the table we waited a good ten minutes and she went past us a few times and never took our order and just ignored us. Someone from the restaurant came past and we finally asked one of them and was served. We eat in the restaurant and the staff in there where very efficient and served us well we enjoyed the food

Hotel was lovely, Robert on reception was the friendliest staff member i met, he was very helpful and kind. I didn’t like how expensive the food. I had red thai curry with chicken cost me £23 and it looked like a child made it.

Check in great, staff polite. Room spacious, parking free and ample,close to many things. Gym small but selection of free weights and machines, Pool (Ok) not great for lengths as its small and if a few people want to swim e.g. 3 you don't have room. Sauna and steam room working great. Food: Questionable ? Breakfast usually cold ❄ I came at 7 am and was the first to arrive, not very warm, I came at 7.30 am still not quite warm. I ate my tea (7pm ish) at the bar and the selection was not great and a round £25 still not great quality. my review: Hotel great , amenities good. Eat somewhere else.

Some areas to improve but good
Check in was set for 14:00 but on arrival one of our party had to wait until almost 15:00 and his room still wasn’t ready. He asked reception about this so reception then switched his room. WiFi is not acceptable, completely unusable and totally open, if someone wanted to snoop here they would have a field day. The facilities and location however are fantastic, gym was good and food was even better.

Good EV charging on site. Pool could have done with a clean. Food options ok,but expensive for what it was. 3rd fold out bed uncomfortable for 15yr old, who slept on the sofa instead perhaps a sofabed would have been a better alternative.

I have stayed many times before at Botley Park for pleasure and business and over many many year held many a corporate events including Golf, Company Dinners and Exhibitions. So I feel comfortable staying at Botley Park for business and pleasure with my family. This time we had a Delux room which was ideal for our two night stay. However, I had to make two complaints to Reception. a) The drain in the sink did not drain away and washing water stayed in sink for some time which was not pleasant. b) The sink also had a leak behind it and we had to put towels around it to mop up the water. c) The shower ran hot and cold without warning and the shower head would not hold in a fixed position leaving one to hold it in place. Reception did respond quickly on a Sunday and had someone look at it but on our return was advised nothing could be done until Mtnc came back in on Monday and then we where told nothing could be done until we vacated the room on Tuesday. So it was looked at promptly which was a big plus but as it could not be fixed I was surprised we were not offered an immediate change of room especially being a long established customer.? However, none of this would stop me returning and just noting now so that maybe in future and to other guests a more immediate satisfactory and positive response could and should be given.

This was really comfortable, excellent air conditioning, huuuge bed, very clean. The staff were friendly and polite. Also a very convenient location, excellent amenities. Also a very decent price compared to some less appealing properties nearby. Highly recommend this place, Anna we'll stay there again.

It took 5hrs to have 2 beds put up for the children, we were then asked if we wanted bedding, then did we want a pillow case for the beds ! The room was grubby, dusty skirtings, sweet wrappers from the previous people on the floor & a dirty pair of converses were still in the wardrobe ! The mattress on the childrens bed had urine stains on it & so my son wouldnt even sleep on it, we all ended up in one bed ! We use this hotel every year before our holiday & this will be our last time. The hotel seems very under staffed. Very disappointing stay

Easy stay if in the area.
Have stayed here many times, it fine for an overnight work stay. Clean bed and decent sized room with bath and clean towels. I like to use the sauna/steam room and pool. The changing rooms are not too nice and the pool is always grubby. Breakfast food seems to deteriorate every visit. It is now self serve tea/coffee. The sausages looked anaemic and the bacon has an overwhelming smokey taste. Overall a satisfactory variety of choices as you can have toast or cereal. Easy to park and receptionist was very professional (thinks name was Riaz). A bit of attention to main areas and a regular sweep/clean up - I would up this score (particularly the pool).

Great Hotel
We had a friendly welcome. They kindly let us book in early as we were at my sons wedding which wss being held there. Room snd bathroom were a really good size and clean. Had a very good wedding meal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious. A little tired in places but didn't put us off or stop us from having a great time
