When making our reservation, we asked them to assign us a ground-floor room as we have a service dog. We contacted them again four days before our arrival requesting a ground-floor room and was told "it would not be a problem". Upon checking in, we were given the last room on the third floor. When I asked them to please change our room, we were told that rooms are assigned based on arrival time and that all their rooms were already checked in. The room we were assigned was 318 and that room's wall is closest to the railroad tracks where the trains run throughout the night. It is 20 feet from the track. You not only hear the trains on the track, you can feel the vibration. In their defense, they did change me on second nights stay on the first floor.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights, when we arrived check in was quick. We were on the 3rd floor closer to the train tracks. Our room was overall clean, the vent in the bathroom does need cleaning as it was thick of dust so barely any airflow. There is a train that goes by but we were out most of the day and we both slept fine. It might be an issue if you are a light sleeper. They do not clean room daily so if you run out of anything you will need to contact the front desk. The area is close to parks, shops, great restaurants all within walking distance. There are homeless people around but they kept to themselves, didn’t feel uncomfortable and actually bought a young man breakfast, most of the homeless are just hungry. This may be an issue for some people but it wasn’t for us, homelessness happens everywhere! The breakfast is subpar at best. The first day we went and there were no breakfast sandwiches, a couple of muffins, a few yogurts and a couple cereal bowls. There were no spoons, so I had to go ask the front desk. The next morning, there was no milk, my hubby asked and they had apparently run out. The third day we got our own breakfast off property. Overall it wasn’t bad for the price, it served us well on our little get away.

Great stay
The steam plant was recommended by a family member due to its affordability for where it is located. Rooms were clean and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Great shopping and restaurants with in walking distance. Will stay here again!

Next to train tracks. Although, there is no whistling noise, you can hear the ‘rumbling’ when it passed by. The shower clogged after 5 secs. Everything else was good.

Noise from the train and homeless people under the bridge were an issue. The first night some homeless person was screaming under the bridge next to the hotel for at least an hour to an hour and a half. Very annoying. The location is good proximity to downtown Spokane but the train runs all night and the homeless people who stay under the bridge caused an issue. They do provide ear plugs but for the price I paid I would stay somewhere else next time.

It is a very nice and well kept place. Our only negative is that it is right next to train tracks which have trains going by 24/7.
