When we were evacuated from the Tampa Bay area and we needed a place to stay for a few days that was pet friendly, the Smart Stay Inn was available. The Motel was completely full because of the storm. I wasn't expecting the Waldorf. The rooms (2) were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The motel was an older style, probably a Holliday Inn at one time. At night there was noise from the pets, people talking as they walked down the halls, and doors slamming. I think you could attribute this to the full house situation and the storm. We had electric all night through the storm and felt safe. About noon time the next day the electric went out and it wasn't known when it would come back on, so we decided to leave for another area because of the lack of air conditioning and lighting. Of course, this wasn't the hotel's fault, but we felt it was better if we didn't have to suffer all night.
I think if we ever need an overnight heading north again, we will probably stay there again. The price was right, and the breakfast was pretty good.
