ok, for the price, can improve a little bit

I would go back to this hotel, maybe other hotels have a better view or are newer, but you can't beat the price. The breakfast could improve a little, if all you need to sleep, this hotel is ok, I really didn't try any of the amenities, but every thing is driving distend, there is a supermarket across the street.

Loved the firepit, staff, free shuttle info, breakfast options and view from hill of Lake Huron. Property is older and appeared clean. One of the 2 beds in our roon was TERRIBLE (sooo hard) and painful. I was unable to rest comfortably! Otherwise good stay.

an ok stay

It's an ok place to stay for the price. The place is run down; tiles broken, carpet fraying, bedding and furniture could use some updating. It was clean, though and the kids really liked the outdoor equipment and pool. Breakfast was just ok; bananas were badly browned and the selection of healthy options non-existent outside yogurt. They do have a waffle maker which was a popular choice.

It served it's purpose of giving my family an affordable place to stay. There is no elevator for 2nd floor which was hard with kids and luggage. Box window AC for very large room (had two rooms for double queen room). Door lock broke off the wall. No TV remote. Pillows had no covers on them. However, the breakfast was great and you can have a campfire outside. Typical UP property that needs serious updating but will make $ whether they update or not due to location.

This was unexpectedly a motel. Old linens and bedding, kitchen curtains on the bathroom window, no regulation on water temperature. Three people were rummaging through garbage bins less than 50 feet from our door! And there were two staff doing laundry and they didn’t seem to have a problem with it. Safety was definitely a concern for us. We had to go to another building to get ice - again safety issue (we drove our car the 100 yards to the other building). Staff was not prepared for the early rush of people for breakfast - only one person doing front desk and breakfast set up - and he had to go to another building to get two more gallons of milk!! This is definitely the first and last time we will be visiting this lodge.

Our room was very nice. We did have problems with the toilet not flushing. But everything was clean, the bed was comfy. St. Ignace is a fun area to explore with plenty of dining options.

Great customer service

We checked out yesterday and realized that my daughter accidentally left one of her air pods back in the room. We called a few hours after checking out and the gentleman at the front desk put us on hold and went to the room to check. Kudos to him for going above and beyond and checking for us right away. I never leave reviews, but had to leave one for this employee who did a great job and made our day better by taking care of our concern immediately. The lodge is very clean and there was lots of food to eat up until the end of breakfast time. It was a great place to stay and wish we would have had more time to use the amenities outside.

The staff was great but our room was not in the main building and it was noisy, bright (window shades didn’t block the lights), we had no shower curtain and when we called for one they dropped one off that was 15 inches too long so you had to be careful not to fall in it as it filled the bottom of the shower. The shower didn’t drain so you had ankle deep water - yuck! We picked this hotel for the hot tub which was out of service.

The lodge we stayed in looked like it was built in the 70’s and has not been renovated. The wallpaper was pealing, the carpet was ripped up and the bathroom sink area was maybe 2’ square and harvest gold. It had a small room air conditioner the was held in by old rotted wood. There are 3 other buildings that appeared to be newer. The pictures online are ver deceiving. I would give it a 1 out of 10.
