Walk in the door of "The Hideout" and enter one of the nicest units in The Rockies complex. This remodeled and beautifully decorated, top floor studio loft, which sleeps four, will engage you in a wonderful mix of leather, wood, vintage touches, dramatic paneled vaulted ceilings, granite countertops, and comfortable furniture, in a warm and welcome Colorado western theme.

There are many ways to enjoy your stay at "The Hideout". While the living room glows from the gas fireplace, you can relax on the comfortable, ultra-suede sleeper sofa or leather armchair. The pivoting flat-screen TV with Blu-ray DVD player is the perfect place to enjoy the evening. The kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals. You can eat at the counter while sitting on the swivel high-back leather chairs or relax on the private balcony, as you enjoy a view of the Colorado mountains and trees. Upstairs, you will sleep beautifully on the raised, high-quality, king-size bed with leather and wood headboard, as you rest in the quiet seclusion of this peaceful retreat.

"The Hideout" is located close to the pool area so you can take a short walk downstairs to enjoy the pool, unwind in the hot tub, or sit with friends by the gas fire pit at night. At the clubhouse, you can play ping pong, and board games, watch some sports, or workout in the fitness room. During summer months, you can BBQ while enjoying the flowers and the beautiful, well-taken care of surroundings at The Rockies complex.

Excellent location. Easy walk to resort base area. The property is clean & cozy, and would highly recommend if you want to be close to the lifts without having to pay for parking

Overall Good but needs maintenance

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the property. Was a good size for to people and a short trip. The pictures online were definitely brighter then the actual unit so it felt a bit cave like, and it didn’t help that a bulb in the kitchen was burnt out in one of the lights. There were a few items that definitely need maintaining such as the back door handle being extremely loose and the bar chairs backs couldn’t be sat on because the backs felt as though they could break off. Also the fan above the bed was swinging when turned on so we ended up using the box fans provided as we didn’t want the fan breaking by accident. The carpets and some linens looked as though it’s time for a refresh. The property itself was really quite even having the unit next to the pool and the grounds are well maintained. Super easy access to the mountain and buses. Very walk friendly area. Would still recommend driving to downtown unless you up for a couple mile walk or bike.

Great place

The condo was very clean and in a great location. It was very cozy! Just a couple of suggestions. The shower head is so short and the sink is very low to the ground. We are both average height and had to lean our heads back to reach the water. The sink was so low. I almost thought it was for someone in a wheelchair maybe. Blankets would be great in the winter as well. Other than those things it was a wonderful place to spend our anniversary.

Very small and hot. The condition of the apartment is poor-very old with stains on furniture and tile coming off the wall in shower. Dead bugs were found under the pillow. When we arrived there was a blue bag and some trash outside our door on the mat that stayed there our entire stay. Wouldn’t recommend. We left as soon as it was possible to do so.

Lovely stay overall!

The tiny, twisty stairs leading to the bedroom loft were a bit difficult to navigate with luggage and going up and down for the restroom so we ended up using the foldout couch on the main floor instead. My spouse and I are pretty agile, but it was still surprisingly difficult.

Great place. You do need to add a few things. Cleaner shower with an extension to make shower head higher - my husband is 6’3” A sharp knife in the kitchen. Some throw blankets for the living area. Key for skis in the locker. I’m just telling you this as we own a rental property in a resort town as well. It really was a nice stay. 4 would be right 😊 Thank you for you time.

Great spot

Perfect location for staying at steamboat. The purple shuttle was never too crowded even if it did run on a schedule of its own. The WiFi didn’t work in our spot and in modern day, sorta silly we had to go to an office to check in vs having instructions sent directly to us but it was a perfect stay otherwise

My son slept in the pullout couch and the parents in the loft bed so it worked out ok. More than 3 people I think would be too cramped though. 3 worked well.

Smell and Depressingly Dark

When we first entered the property, we both commented on the bad smell. We hoped it would air out and opened the window, but it didn’t help. Also, our toddler kept bringing us small pieces of trash and food that she found on the floor. When you pay such a high cleaning fee, it’s upsetting when it’s not clean — especially with small children. The listing also made the property look light and airy; however, it was very dark and brown inside and the bed was not what was pictured. We got in late so we stayed the night but contacted the property manager the next morning and they were very helpful in getting us a different place to stay.

Ski trip

This is a tiny condo but was fine since it was just me and my husband I do not recommend for more that 2 people. Location and amenities good for the price. The biggest down fall is the bathroom is downstairs the bed is up the narrow winding spiral stair case, if your like me and go at least twice in the middle of the night it is a huge and scary inconvenience. The stairs are so narrow and winding we didn’t even try to take them upstairs we left them in the living room. All in all good trip good value just be aware or the stairs

Good for small family

When I say small, I really mean it. The bathroom at this property was definitely built for smaller/shorter people. Mirror and shower-head we had to duck to use (I'm 5'10). Some kind of crusty red stain (raspberry something) upstairs carpet as well. But overall it was a good place. No AC but they have multiple fans there you can use to suck in the cold air from outside in summer and since it's a higher floor you can leave windows open all night. A nice balcony. Nice little pool area (very busy/popular) very close to the unit. No elevator so be prepared to lug it all up the stairs to 3rd floor.

Cozy and good location but very uncomfortable couch

Cozy , clean, and well positioned to get to the slopes pretty easily. Kitchen and linen pretty well stocked. Bed was comfortable but couch was miserable and is badly over due for a replacement.

Great experience

My friend and I didn’t want to leave this place. The unit and its accompanying views were really beautiful as was the hot tub/patio area. It was really nice having parking and the patio area being so close to where we stayed too. It was clean and had all the basics to keep us entertained in COVID times. I would definitely come back here.
