We stayed here to visit the Christmas markets in Gamla Stan and it was great! Very easy to get where we needed to go and lots of dining options nearby. It’s truly in the heart of the old town. The building is old, which is fine, but the upkeep was lacking. That’s not a complaint, just an observation because truly it didn’t affect our stay. It just wasn’t the nicest place we’ve ever stayed. The staff was fantastic. Helpful and kind. Getting there from the train was a bit tricky with our luggage. We took a taxi out which was a bit easier. We’d stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Gamla Stan. Go to House of Smörgåsbord for dinner just up the road. It’s the best local food we had in Sweden!

Reception said they would stay open til 10PM to accommodate late check-in. We arrived at 9:50 and they were gone. Luckily, another customer let us in the building, otherwise we would have had to find another hotel at 10PM. Also, hotel lost power for a few hours, and there was no offer of any kind from the hotel for the inconvenience.

Breakfast not available, but good choices nearby. We would have liked wash cloths and a bath mat. Curtains in room needed repair and not effective at blocking street lights and did not give privacy. It's not a hotel, it's a hostel, the "City view" is the wall of the next building, the shower in our room is horrendous, no matter how you would seal the curtain on the sides and on the floor, the water leaks ALL OVER THE BATHROOM every single time we took a shower, and their solution: they provide you with a squeegee for you to clean, I would never go back to this hotel. Rude manager too.

Great little hotel and a very good area. Close to everything you can walk easily. Cleaning staff for a nice. Lady at the front very nice. Grocery store right near the end of the street. Brace yourself lots of high prices in the area, Mr. Canada 🇨🇦

Paid around $300/day and it is not comparable with a hotel in US paying the same amount. This hotel has terrible Wifi and there was no use for us! I do not recommend it if you are comparing it with a US hotel paying $300 per day.
