A good mid-level choice if you want a compromise between the convenience of downtown and the services of a neighborhood. There are tons of non-touristy restaurants and bars at all levels within easy walking distance and a supermarket and pharmacy a block away. The major sites of Stockholm are on the waterfront, not near the hotel, but there's a subway station a block and a half away that will get you downtown in minutes.
The hotel is very well maintained and it's clear that the owners are trying to provide the best experience. For example, there are many breakfast options, including plant-based and lactose-free milks, several kinds of bread, and even oatmeal. There's free live jazz once a week in the bar. (It's not great, but I appreciate the effort.) The decor veers toward "shabby chic" - don't expect a Marriott-type look with cookie-cutter rooms and corporate decor. I had a top-floor room with a sloped ceiling, exposed wooden beams, and a casement window that opened, not mechanical ventilation.
It was a perfect choice for me, but might not be to everyone's taste.
