Nice Hotel in Melbourne

Nice hotel near the 35 tram which circles the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Continental breakfast is somewhat limited (e.g. no fruit, eggs and beans for hot food) but worked for us. Limited towels in the room. No wash cloths. That was the biggest complaint. Overall I would recommend.

Felt safe being opposite the police station. Access to tram, train and shuttle bus to airport. Also within walking distance into shopping area for those able to do so. The room looked a bit tired and dated but the beds were very comfortable and the area was clean which was what we were hoping. It was also lovely and quiet. We were able to check in early than 2pm. They also looked after our luggage after we checked out until we left for airport.

The staff are excellent, friendly and extemely helpful. The room and hotel itself are quite 'tired' and could probably benefit with some refurbishment. Our room floor was uneven, there was a wet patch just in-front of the fridge. Room was humid and stuffy (and has a strange smell) unless you turn the air condition on full blast. For the price paid however, couldn't complain too much. The room was quite and we can have a good night sleep which is really the basic (as long as the air conditioning is on). The rest little things we can deal with.

Address is well located to all public transport. Rooms are adequate for short term stay. Normally rooms are clean and well serviced. Unfortunately on this occasion surfaces had been wiped over with a greasy cloth and the food soil of an infant's fingers on window, sofa, wall, blind and wall picture were unacceptable. Chipped glass in fridge. Half the reported issues were promptly corrected. Air conditioning worked but was very noisy clicking on and off all night.

Pretty run down hotel. The skirting boards held on with duct tape. No bedside lamps in any of the bedrooms. Some of the plug sockets were not working. The T.V. didn’t work very well. The apartment smelt like bio when we first entered. Overpriced for a very run down hotel.

Basic style room with plenty of space. Clise to Coles and quick eating areas in the Spencer St outlet. But there is one room in Tower 1 with the window facing a wall if the building very close to it next door. I booked that through Qantas who treated my raising of the issue with contempt. They call it an executive queen however it is not at the same standard as the other executive rooms in tower 2 that i booked thriugh Expedia.. I wouldnt stay in that horrible room again and I am so pleased with booking through Expedia.

Ben from front desk came to my room abused me Calling me a f**k head a c**t Took great pleasure out of bulling me and my 7 year old grandson. I was card he would hit me. He wouldn’t leave our room u til I put the don’t disturb sign on the door I said I would call the police. He abused me for a good 10 minutes. Then when we checked out he glared at us the hole time My grandson was so scared we just left and met a ride down the street
