We called to see if we can check in at 1pm instead of 3pm, because our event started at 2. We were told it was ok because check out is at 11, and they should have rooms ready, and no additional charge.
We got there, and they said it was an extra $30 per room to check in early. I told them we called and was told no problem and no extra charge. So he said $20 per room. I had no choice since our event was still 20 minutes away from the hotel. So it cost an extra $40.
Next the wash cloth on the sink was dirty. I brought to the night desk guy, who said it looked like someone stepped on it. So he gave us a clean one and an extra towel. Next the toilet paper was almost empty and no extra roll. So I went back, and he gave us a new roll.
Then my friend went to take a shower, and he noticed a big clump of dried hair on the shower wall. He comes out to tell me, and notices there are stains on the bed spread, a cigarette burn also, he pulls up his sheets and the appear dirty too. He went to tell the night guy, who came in and took pictures of it all, he said he was going to report it. He clean the shower, gave us new bed linens. The blow dryer did not work either. Stains on the lamps too.
The second room the tv would not work.
I was told by many Red Roof were nice places. This was not. Don’t think I would use one again.
