The only problem was that we were charged $29 for valet parking. Evidently some valets can't drive a vehicle with a stick shift so the car was left in front of the hotel all night instead of being put in the garage.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel in Columbia SC. It was convenient to the historic area, restaurants and shopping. The hotel was clean, has interesting architecture and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There is also a Starbucks next store to fuel your coffee needs. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows--I'd like to buy those pillows--they were that comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there. We would return and stay there again.
