The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The room was clean and nice. I would recommend staying there to everyone who is looking for a hotel in Sylva.

It did the job. Good for a short stay
We got the queen suite and it was very big, spacious, and clean. We were there for 2 days and location wise it was perfect for all the visiting we were doing. The breakfast is very simply, they have a waffle machine, basic fruits, cereal, and a coffee machine. The only complaint I have is the lights in the room. That ugly florescent lighting was HORRIBLE! It felt like being in a hospital room. I recommend they have a lamp so the room isnt in bright white. Especially when you are trying to wind down for the night. If they do that change, that would be it perfect!

Dirty hallways, room was OK. Elevator was filthy. Breakfast was sub-standard. I initially booked a 6 day stay but moved to another hotel after just one night.

They sent an email for me to check-in before I got there. I had done that once before and all I had to do was stop and get my room key. This time, my check-in hadn't been processed and I had to wait. And, the new manager had me fill out a form I didn't need to fill out. The TV in the room didn't work.

Overall, this property was safe and clean. We will definitely stay again when we are back in the area. The property could use some minor cosmetic updates. For example, our wardrobe was missing the door handle and there was a loose floor tile in the restroom, but these things did not affect the quality of our stay.

Great place for WNC university family get together
The Microtel Inn and Suites Dillsboro is a convenient place to stay for Univ of Western NC events. My son and I enjoyed sharing a suite. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the breakfast very satisfying.

overall, the place was dirty. the floor was gross, the carpet was badly stained. the room had a very unpleasant smell. we had a room with a sleeper sofa... you DON'T want to know that the bare mattress looked like. it was so gross that we slept 3 in a DOUBLE bed rather than my son (18 years old, not small) sleeping on the sofa bed. plus we thought we were going to die going up in the elevator to the 4th floor. that elevator has seen some things and it's not happy about them. my daughter is a freshman at western carolina and we have 4 years of hotel stays ahead of us when we visit. it DEFINITELY will not be at this one!!

A terrible hotel. Never would stay there again. They had migrants supposedly doing repair work near Asheville and were staying there. Supposedly, they were contracted by a Florida NGO. The workers were loud at night and we didn’t have a single night that was quiet. The bathroom had mold and the sink would get clogged after a few seconds. The access panel under the sink would constantly fall off. The bedroom stunk. A horrible smell that lingered in the room. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there.
