Bad checkin and checkout experience in an old hote
Stayed here for a family wedding fir 10 days but the check in took horribly long, and smoking smell in the room for the last few nights even though none of us ever smoked; asked for a late check out at noon for the last day but was told to pay $500 NT! Facility outdated and smelled stale and the elevators very inconvenient as mostly unable to reach the hotel floors; some employee very experience but some obviously inexperienced; Taiwanese hotels usually have excellent service even if the hotel hardware could be old but this one is definitely subpar; as an ONE WORLD EMERALD highest status member I would not recommend this hotel again

My family stayed for 3 nights here. The FX hotel was conveniently and centrally located close to the MRT. My husband, our kids 7 & 8 years old and I took the metro to Taipei 101 and was able to leisurely walk back to our hotel while soaking in the sights of the city. I liked how there was no carpet in the room. We had a nice city view from the 10th floor. Kids enjoyed their baths in the tub and we all liked the big shower with the rain shower head as well as the Toto toilet which kept our buttocks warm. The few minor things we didn't like was the smell of smoke in the hallways, noticeable mold in the shower, the slow drainage of the shower and we didn't get fresh towels on our last night there. Overall, we had a good experience staying at that hotel and that being our first time in Taiwan. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.

My 3rd time staying at this FX Hotel
Hotel staff are simply 100% friendly and do everything they can to make sure we (customers) are well served. A couple of times their on-site washers & dryers broke, they were able to have them repaired ASAP. This particular FX hotel, to me, is at the best location to shop, to eat, to take MRT and to take care of my mom's matters 👍

This Taipei hotel is very conveniently located. The staff is average in terms of service, the check in personnel is cordial but cannot use the term friendly. The bright spot is the extremely efficient shower water system with water pressure easily adjust with temperature's rapid shift from cool to warm, a very comfortable experience in showering. Overall a comfortable boutique style accomodation.
