We really enjoyed our stay, room was lovely with fantastic views of the gardens and ocean. Only downside I would say is the service around the pool is very slow. We also wasn't keen on the chinese restaurant, but really enjoyed the teppanyaki. Also enjoyed our time around the sunset bar until the sand flies come out.

Here's a draft of your review for posting on Expedia: --- **Rating: 3/5** We recently stayed at the Shangri-La resort and had a mixed experience. While the service and facilities were generally good, there were a couple of significant drawbacks. Firstly, the prices within the resort were surprisingly high, comparable to major Australian cities. This made dining and other activities quite expensive, which didn't feel reasonable considering the location. Secondly, the beach, which is a key feature of the resort, was disappointing. Due to ocean currents, the beach was dirty and lacked the expected tropical charm. This was a major letdown as a beautiful beach is central to the appeal of a beach resort. Overall, while the service and amenities were commendable, the high prices and underwhelming beach detracted from our overall experience.

Beautiful, huge property. 4 restaurants, food ok and expensive .2 great pools and right on the beach. As a note...... it's very, very hot so the ocean is really warm. We ended up sitting by the pool.

This was the best service I had in all my travels! Also, it was calm, no loud music, not too much tourists, giant beach with no one on it sometimes! The staff was so nice and professional! The room was excellent. Perfect place to relaxe.

Good size room and lovely view from balcony. Pool was perfect temperature, there were plenty of loungers, and beach was clean. Staff very friendly. Excellent breakfast spread. Filteted water easily available in line with their no single use plastic policy.
