Lovely hotel. Plenty of parking space. Did not like the breakfast set up. Prefer buffet style. Not that many options. Daughter disappointed that no Nuttela available. Went somewhere else for breakfast the next day. Nowhere to get a snack or drink. Just the bar! no vending machines. Nowhere nearby apart from KFC to get snack or drink either. On the plus side, pleasant reception staff, clean, comfy rooms, we had 2 adjoning ones due to family. Nice pool and jacuzzi with towels provided but lockers not secure. No key for them. Had to take a chance when using them which wasn't a comfortable feeling.

- upon booking the stay I did ask for it to be made special for our anniversary. This was not done - upon reaching the hotel we were greeted by a staff member more concerned with helping there young daughter get McDonald's rather than checking us - we had to pay a £15 charge for parking which was not passed on to us at the time of booking. - our room was not made special at all. Instead we were met by mouldy windows, a skittles on the floor, a mouldy bathroom, with yellow stained floor mats. - the gym: the pool was closed throughout our visit. The gym equipment had a lot of variety, but was old. The staff were all extremely friendly. And to get into the locker room you needed a separate code and so needed to wait for staff to get in. - the gym does not provide padlocks and the lockers do not work with smaller locks. The locker room is not clean and looks outdated, the showered were mouldy. the steam room was not clean and was mouldy and the sauna also did not feel clean and had broken pieces of wood. On one occasion there was workmen in the area and one was topless which was unnecessary. - The front line staff didn't really seem like they wanted to be there. They did meet every request but didn't seem so keen. - pool tables cost to use. You can't bring food from outside and eat in the seating areas in the hotel as they expect you to buy there food. - The windows have no safety locks. - the cleaner did not replenish our toilet paper or tissues.

Location was good for trip and staff very friendly plus bed was super comfortable. However, food in bar wasn’t great (had a pizza and garlic bread) and the bartender could not understand I wanted a normal Coke and gave me Diet Coke even after asking twice. While I got a good nights sleep, the attention to detail in regards to cleaning is severely lacking in the room. Old spiders webs, dirt, some red stuff on bedside light switch and very old hard water stains on shower seals. Would have complained but overheard at the check-in desk that they were fully booked so would not have done much good. Bottomline, nice staff and easy location off M54, but room conditions let it down massively. I do not plan to stay there again even with the low price offers. Disappointing.

Hi Unfortunately disappointed with general customer service and lack of correct communication. On arrivals after a long day of traveling and work i asked if the pool was available for use and was told yes by check in/reception staff. However then when I went to use it i was told it was closed and had been for a while and wouldnt be opening any time soon. Couldn't use the steam room or sauna either. Very disappointing as was much looking forward to some down time. The food however was lovely and the staff in the restaurant were also so polite.

Would be a 5 but pool and leisure area needs major TLC. Hotel was lovely large room good shower. Breakfast was very good great quality and lots of choice. All the staff we met were great. Main let down is the pool and spa area. Needs complete overhaul. If you booked for the spa you would be disappointed
