Older place w/much potential to be a rustic charm, BUT, room FILTHY @ check in. Dried urine & pubic hair on toilet, no TP & trash from previous guest still in trash cans. No towels/toiletries. Had to call for towels & TP, wife had packed toiletries so that didn’t matter so much. Towels never arrived, had to go to the office to get them. Not one utensil/pot/pan for stove, which still had old food crusted to it. Room NOT cleaned each day. After returning from work, our prior night’s dinner trash was still in the trash as well as the previous guest’s trash. Beds were unmade & towels still on the bathroom floor. Originally booked 5 nights, however after wife tried to {initially politely} call the 3’rd night & discuss w management the condition of the room & quality of the stay, as she was the one who booked it, we decided it best to end our stay early and go elsewhere. Manager was BY FAR the rudest person her or I have ever spoken w. Completely & unnecessarily hostile & defensive & on several instances actually implied my wife & I were being untruthful about not only a booking misunderstanding, {accidentally reserved the room for 2 adults instead of 3 on the app, completely & admittedly OUR mistake} but also the unfortunate condition of the room & hospitality experience. Unwilling to attempt to make it right for the remaining duration of the stay, even after Hotels.com reached out, resulting in a reluctant refund of 1 night, better than nothing & still worth an early check out.
