A great motel to stay while on Route 66. Great location and away from traffic. Very quiet , clean, comfortable, and spacious. Family run. Great value!! Highly recommended In my opinion- the best option in Shamrock.

This was an excellent place to stay. Check in and out was very easy. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I only ate the oatmeal at breakfast, but it was good. I would highly recommend staying here if you are heading through Shamrock.

Quite nice for the price. Very retro feel at this little motor motel. Everything was pretty clean, although slightly shabby (towels were a bit thin, sheets were somewhat dingy and not crisply white, grout and caulk around sink, tubs, etc was loose and/or discolored). None of these things make it a bad stay, the stay was perfect and the bed was quite comfortable for the night. It's not a motel that I would specifically seek out to stay, but was perfect location for our stop while traveling. Best part of our stay: A tie between the friendly lobby staff that checked us in and the comfortable bed. Worst part of stay: It was raining overnight and the sidewalk outside our door was flooded about an inch deep and we had to get our feet wet to leave the room (several times as we took our luggage out and returned to double check that we'd gotten everything)

Route 66 Classic Motel

I enjoyed my overnight stay at this Route 66 motel. Easy check in and quiet night was appreciated. It could use some updating, but there was definitely that feel of Route 66 present. My suggestions would be some landscaping as shown in Motel’s online photos and breakfast was a little sparse but serviceable.

In the first room they put me in the toilet overflowed and there was a dead bug in the nightstand drawer, the manager explained they do their best with pest control. The breakfast isn’t great but it’s nice of them to offer it. Definitely better than most options this cheap.

Hotel what just off the highway. Clean. Friendly staff. Quiet. Cozy room with the standard bed, TV, fridge, micro and bathroom facilities. Budget friendly. All non smoking. Breakfast included with stay the standard - juice, milk, eggs, biscuits, gravy, toast etc. I feel this hotel is nostalgic and still has the vintage charm like the lovely pink toilet and tub. Perfect photo opp across the street with a classic and the painted Route 66 hwys on the wall. I would definitely stay again.

Step back into the nostalgia of the 1960s at this quaint motel on old Route 66! While it is definitely a bit time-worn, the place is being kept up and had everything we needed. In fact in comparison to the Doubletree and Cambria hotels we just lodged at, this little place actually had some features they were lacking: plenty of well-located real outlets to recharge batteries/cellphones, larger refrigerator, multiple luggage racks-cabinets for luggage, dining table and chairs, larger room, and included breakfast. Was also very quiet! The owner is friendly and welcomed us when we checked in at 11pm. Just set your expectations to spend a night in the 1960s/70s and you’ll sleep soundly!

Great quiet place with Rt 66 history

It’s dated but everything was nice and clean and worked as it should. Quiet neighborhood. You can park right outside your door. Very friendly. And has a great hot and cold breakfast with a variety of flavored coffee. Plus it’s on Rt 66 and the local artist that painted almost every mural in town lives there. He’s a friendly guy.
