We loved our stay here. Yes it was a little shabby but it summed up bygone eras. Colonial, Agatha Christie, Kipling. The staff were fantastic and check out to the Cambodian ferry was faultless and easy. Breakfast was plentiful but the coffee machine should have been ready to go with so many people checking out at the same time.

Wonderful!
We loved our stay at the Victoria Hotel! We booked a river side room on the third floor, which was very quiet and the view was spectacular! The staff were also wonderful. The rooms could use a little maintenance on things like the rusted shower head and older beds, but those minor details didn’t detract from our stay. Food in the restaurant was also very good. We also loved strolling the nearby pedestrian river walk and the hotel is very convenient for getting to the ferry to Phnom Penh in the morning. The only thing we would have appreciated more is if the breakfast room opened at 6:00 instead of 6:15 because it was very rushed to get to the ferry on time. However, this was one of our favourite stays in SE Asia this trip, and we highly recommend it!

Great Hotel, needs some updates
We've stayed at the Chau Doc Victory Hotel numerous times over the years, but this visit felt different. Less welcoming by front desk receptionist and the "suite" hotel room needs improvements & better WIFI connections. The bathroom vent was not in place and towels smelled a little mildew.

This is a very well designed place. We have stayed in newer, more modern hotels but this was by far the most comfortable. First shower in Vietnam not to soak the whole bathroom. The pool is nice, breakfast was very good and we had a beautiful view of the river junctions. The surrounding area is great and the people in Chau Doc super friendly and welcoming.

This is an amazing and peaceful hotel to stay at when visiting Southern Vietnam. The hospitality is second to none. Outstanding staff, breakfast buffet and view of the Mekong River.

The hotel is superbly located to catch the early morning speed boat the Phnom Penh, and indeed most of the guest boarded the boat the next day. The staff at the hotel are really good and service can not be faulted. The building, however, is beginning to show its age and is in need of some updating.

An absolutely must stay hotel if in the South
This was our second visit to Victoria Hotel in Cho Doc, Vietnam. Just as our first visit, the hotel staff were welcoming and quite professional. Our “suite” of the river made the visit even more memorable and enjoyable. We could sit outside and watch the fishing boats troll along the river hoping for the best catch of the day. There’s lots to visit while here as well. (2-3) Eco friendly places only 20-30 minutes away. Be sure to have some mud-fish or catfish as well. The sushi restaurant behind the Co-Op supermarket (across the street from the hotel) also is quite good and clean. This is a great city to visit or stopover going to Cambodia. The Victoria Resort makes it all worth the visit. From arriving to your departure the staff makes themselves available to you for your questions or concerns. This is another must stay hotel!!!
