The employee who checked us in did not have a grasp of why I balked at asking for another card other than the one I used to book the hotel. He just said " The screen says, try another card". so I gave him another card and it said the same thing on his screen. I stopped him and said "I'm not giving you another card until you can tell me why the first AND the 2nd card did not let the amount for the stay, show the card as good. He said "Let me call my manager". He went around the corner to talk to her so I couldn't hear the conversation. While he did that I checked both of my cards using my phone. At that moment, I got a call from "fruad Protection" stating I had been charged twice for the same amount from this hotel. I checked the original card and it also had two charges for the same amount (2-day stay was $700 for a crappy room!). The manager then came to explain to me why it happened. I said I don't care what you say, Fraud protection says there is two charges on both of my cards. You have to fix it. They said it would all fix itself, when I checked out as they don't charge me anything until I check out. Well it's Sunday and both cards still show double charges, from Days Inn.
