This was a very cute, cozy hotel. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was open when we stayed. We stayed Nov 22. It was a Friday. There really was nothing open in the area. I knew it was off season, but thought there would be something open. But I think if you stayed there in prime time. It’s a great location.

Beautiful hotel!

We loved this beautiful hotel full of charm and history!! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable. The grounds were neat and the gold course was immaculate!! A short walk to the lake and downtown shopping a plus!! Cant wait to go back!

They we very nice and it is a beautiful location There was a fruit fly problem that was frustrating and regardless of your length of stay there was only room clean up done if you request it. I don’t want to have to ask if I’m there for days

This was our 1st time staying at the Leland Lodge and found it to be “classically charming”. Upon arrival, we were met with a staff member who talked about the area highlights until the front desk person arrived to check us in. We were early for our check in, but they accommodated. “Your room is ready but the cookies are still baking.” Cookies? Yep. After checking in and heading to our SPOTLESS room, our cookies were delivered and did not disappoint. The room and hotel are spotless. Loved everything about our room and this hotel. The bed was comfortable, the room had a/c and more than accommodated the 4 of us. When I refer to “classically charming”, I’m meaning the atmosphere here. The employees and the hotel itself. I feel that the employees here love their jobs and the area. Everything is updated, yet kept its original charm. New tvs, but original wood decor. I would assume people who stayed here back in the 60s wouldn't find much difference to it now. I love that! Having coffee on the porch in the morning overlooking the golf course and getting a glimpse of Lake Lelanau just past the trees was so peaceful…heaven on earth. We did not get to try Bogey’s (the bar & grill downstairs) but will for sure next time. By the way, we were traveling with our kids (age 12, 11) and they loved the Murphy bunk beds! We will definitely stay here again!
