very centrally located. sub-hotel to a 4 star hotel. building is very old no elevator 2 flights of stairs up to the room. common area coffee machine is not working & seems it was like that for a while & they have no intention to fix it.
when we arrive the hotel lobby with 2 big luggages, the hotel front desk has no intention to give us a hand, instead she ask us to leave our luggages outside the hotel since we need to go to a different building - hello??? people lost their stuff here and thief is a very serious thing here
on top of that, after we check in, she told us the bell boy will help us to get the luggages to the building but he will not help us to bring the luggages to our room because there are stairs - hello???
i will not stay in this hotel or recommend to any friends for it
Everything was great, but the bathroom grouts were moldy. It did not look good.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We enjoyed our stay despite no elevators on the property, and having to lug our baggage 3 flights of stairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was smack in the middle of everything, super convenient with San Marco Sqaure just a 5 minute walk away, and dining shopping options galore. Although the cofffee machine was constantly breaking throughout our stay, we can easily grab a cup just 10 meters away at their sister company. Rooms and decor could do with some updating. Overall a very pleasant surprise!
The room itself was beautiful- curtains, bedding, etc. however the overall amenities were not the best. No door to the bathroom. No trash can?
Its good for 1 night or so.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and great location between everything you would want to see in Venice.
The area is convenient and walkable, lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel seems like a storage, no receptionist. They used a reception in another hotel where the staff are less helpful. Internet wasn't working and we got rude response when complained and no solution. We daw san luca hotel in a different building from where we were and was closed. This is not a hotel but an aprartment.
Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was really good.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Hotel San Luca was closed a small sign on door directed us to another hotel 150 feet away, it was quick check in but no lift or elevator and room was 300 feet away on the 2nd floor and we had lots of luggage and tired. A helper was provided to move luggage but he refused to handle heavier luggages. Room was basic no AC no air conditioning but a cooler was provided attendant asked us to keep window open. Kitchen is nice but we didn’t use. Bathroom is small as usual everywhere in Europe, a clothes washer was also provided we didn’t use. Staircase to room was narrow and dark. But hotel is located 5 minutes walk from Rialto Bridge and Water bus stop. No ramps on any of the stairs not sure why, I asked many folks but no reply. Be careful with heavy luggage, we broke wheels of two bags making it even more difficult. I had a family room means two separate bed rooms apartment type accommodation

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Staff was excellent. However the property itself needs some attention. Entry stairway and the former reception area are not clean or nice. The coffee area was also run down.
The hotel did not have an on site employee and it’s managed by a hotel nearby. There are security cameras in the hotel; however, I’m not exactly sure who monitors the cameras or if they actually work. The inside of the hotel was very quiet since it does not have much rooms and I did not actually see anyone during my stay. The hotel building did not have an elevator and did not offer to take the luggage’s to our second floor room; therefore , we had to carry our bags without any assistance up several stairs. The room was a fair size and everything worked fine, the bed was very low to the ground and stiff. In the middle of the night we heard very loud fireworks going off that woke us up and we had to find something to cover our ears because it lasted several minutes making it impossible to sleep. There was a strong odor of sewer coming from inside the bathroom at night and we had to close the bathroom door.
