As old as the dinosaurs but with less charm
Many reviews say this motel is exceptional, but that is far from reality. The pool makes it popular for families but my room had that terrible room cleaner, old motel smell. I felt like I needed a shower just staying there. This town is not worth a stop

We stayed at the Dinosaur Inn as part of a multi-city, multi-state trip through multiple National Parks and Monuments. This was, hands-down, the best hotel we stayed in. The room was large with lots of storage space, two TVs, and two large beds plus a fold-out, which became crucial when my wife came down with COVID and had to monopolize a bed by herself. Consequently, we will have to go back to Vernal, and this will definitely be where we stay!

Very nice facility located conveinently to the Utah side of Dinasaur Nation Monument. Our room was very large and clean. The complimentary breakfast had an expanded menu with friendly service.

Great hotel. A bit unique and special. Nice comfortable big room, with basic kitchen facility. Quiet. Nice outdoor pool. Good location for Dinosaur National Monument. We visited with 2 children, one 13 and one 19. Plenty of space in the beds. The town is interesting to, with a museum next door. Good breakfast burritos.

Yes, this is a motel. And yes, it is probably what all motels should aim to be like: clean, convenient, great (very friendly and knowledgeable) staff, well located, good sized rooms with the amenities you'd expect, all in working condition and well maintained. The restaurant next door is also a must, by the way. It is a no frills place, but what they do, they do it very well.

Decent hotel for Vernal
Overall, the stay wasn’t horrible but we had a few complaints. The trash cans in front of the rooms along the walkway weren’t emptied regularly, there were bandaids along the side of the pool that were there for two days, the beds were meh, but that is to be expected. The breakfast offerings were varied, but it was the same menu everyday, which isn’t horrible, there was enough there to choose from. Overall, it was a decent place to stay, but it definitely wasn’t as good as when stayed back in 2022. We may or may not come back for a future stay in Vernal.

Dinosaur inn and suites
Great stay service was great. Cherlyn was an amazing hostess in the morning for breakfast giving us ideas on what to do and personal stories from those places. On our last day she suggested moonshine arch telling us about her personal adventure and how she wasn’t able to complete the hike when we got back to the hotel shared our pictures with her she was very happy. We can’t wait to come back!
